Hiya. This is the first time I am creating a suggestion but will try my best to explain.

Ok, so have you ever seen around other art shops and forums where people have a "warning / banned" list for those who had broken the shop's / forum's rules?
Well... Wouldn't it be easier if the forum has its own system where you can block a person out of your forum, just to avoid the potential trouble of them further contacting your thread ( The person being the one who had broken your forum rules )? With a simple click of a button.
Another thing I may add is being able to distribute warnings on a thread where only the forum owner and the one being warned can see. No one else would be able to see the warnings but the two parties mentioned. It would genuinely help keep the warning's list private to yourself and it won't deter people's opinion about someone else, just by judging them from the publicly shown warning/banned list in question.

Basically what I am saying is to grant a warning button and a block button for people own forums. It would be less of a hassle for the forum owners to constantly update their warned / banned list ( Especially since people do change their usernames from time to time. Not easy to keep track ) and it avoids people opinions being sway base on the list ( Which isn't good to judge solely base on that ).

I hope I've worded this correctly. As mentioned, this is my first time creating a suggestion thread ;w;

Full support!

The owner of a forum thread should also be able to pick 'helpers' who can also issue warnings and bans.

THIS! Full support indeed! This would make blacklisting and warning people from shops/artshops SO much easier.

Sounds like a good idea! This will definitely be useful in roleplays rather than just having a warned/blacklisted list on the first post, and sending warnings to spambots and people who randomly say "hi" in threads while ignoring the thread topic or the existence of the roleplay signups (if it's a RP) rather than just reporting their post sounds good as well (I've seen way too many instances of someone with no pfp just posting "hi" in a roleplay thread without having signed up OR read through the RP)

I completely agree this should be put into the forums! It sounds like an excellent, efficient, and convenient system! I'm in absolute support of this.

Support, seeing as how the forums are such a large part of PokeHeroes I think it's about time something like this was implemented.

Quote from NymphrasisAnother thing I may add is being able to distribute warnings on a thread where only the forum owner and the one being warned can see. No one else would be able to see the warnings but the two parties mentioned. It would genuinely help keep the warning's list private to yourself and it won't deter people's opinion about someone else, just by judging them from the publicly shown warning/banned list in question.

I especially agree with this, because to me, having a warning list on a forum shop is no different from naming and shaming. I don't think this is fault of the shop owners however; there isn't much else to do when wanting specific users to not interact due to personal forum rule breaking.
Having a feature that will let the users in question know privately really does help with that feeling of guilt both parties may feel.

I really like this idea so I want to bring up something that could be an issue, in hopes anyone has any additions to improve this:
Will this apply to every subforum? I see this being very useful in any shops (GTS, shiny hunting, art shops) as well as roleplays. But I can't help but feel this could be misused in general/game discussions or forum games.
I say this because the latter is more of a community thing, rather than something personal ran by one or more users. I would hate to see certain users locked out of playing forum games just because the one who started the thread "doesn't like that person".

*Edit: I forgot to mention, forum games where some type of specific effort is required by the rules: these also make sense to have this feature implemented.
I was more-so talking about the forum games such as "give the avatar above you a funny nickname" and such, with my previous question.

Just to answer your question: While I am not familiar with the forum games, I still say it is the forum owner choice whether or not they want that person there ;w;. Most of the time ( Not always ), people do have a reason to cut ties with certain people out of their lives qwq. It is their choice by the end of the day, admittedly pwp

I talked about this on a feed and someone added the idea of having a whitelist for more exclusive threads (diaries, roleplays, etc.) so that only the people on that list would be able to post on that thread. This would be helpful since having to warn/block every stray user that posts on your diary would be a bit tedious.

EDIT: Forgot to mention this but support c:

I support, and I'd like to add something as well. I feel like a few 'settings' could be implemented with this, like 'prevent all users from posting'. This idea can be greatly extended upon, of course, but this is just my small addition

Full support. I have blocked people of my art shop coz reasons. Annoying when they change usernames.
Can we have numbered ID names when changing usernames like fanfiction? That way the link can't be changed

What about being able to give shops a pop up warning upfront (like the toyhouse profile warnings) along with your idea
