Forum-Index → Fanmades → Fanfictions → PoemsBefore I can say anything, the guards draw their swords, metal shrieking painfully.
Calling out to me is the laughing voice of the utter hunger, mocking me for my crimes
Death reeks around me, twisting and curling like smoke, though none of us can see it.
Everyoe is frozen, unspeaking. The Prince stares at me in horror.
"Fear is a funny thing," I croak. "One moment you're using it to control others, the next it's controlling you."
"Gloria, I never thought that the woman who gave me a rose in my own father's presence would be this..thing that you are."
"Hah," I laugh bitterly. "Well, You thought wrong. Now, I'd better be going, darling."
I move before the guards can react, and before they have even swung their swords, I am by the window at the end of the hall.
Just before I leap out the window, glass shattering and rainbow shards spinning and falling around me like some kind of twisted rain, I see the look on the prince's face.
And I enjoy it.
