"That's the spirit!" Yung smiled cheerfully. "The Gadian I know
wouldn't just sit around and do nothing!" He let out a small pulse
of aura; trying to scour the area for anything unnatural.
Clearly not understanding, Gadian scratched his chin and chuckled
nervously. “But I am the Gadian you know..?” He mumbled, ears
pinned back as he tries to work out what Yung meant. Deciding that
it wasn’t worth all the confused deliberation, he straightened his
back and cleared his throat, looking away nervously.
"What I mean by that is... well. The phrase basically means 'It's
not like you to...' and so on." Yung grinned. "But I feel like
there's something here...my aura's picking up something."
Gadian straightened, his cheeks tinted pink with embarrassment.
“Yeah, of course.” He gritted the words out, trying to sound
confident. In that moment, he realised that he wouldn’t be getting
alone time for a while, and decided to start lowering his guard
little by little.
Yung would let out a light yawn. He then pointed in a seemingly
random direction at first glance...but there was no hesitation in
the direction he pointed. "I'm feeling something from this
way."
Gadian raised his eyebrows. “That.. that aura you have is strong.
You could fight someone blinded, wow.” He seemed to stammer over
the word ‘blinded’, as if he realised what he was saying half way
through. Nonetheless, he followed Yung with a brief expression of
wonder.
"I have done that before, actually." Yung stated to Gadian as he
started walking. "But the most useful thing about is
that...well...one can't really hide from me. Or lie for that
matter." Sure enough...there was some kind of distortion towards
the direction that Yung was walking to
Gadian was too busy listening to Yung to notice the distortion, his
fur lying flat on his body. “Lie? So you can detect lies?” He spoke
slowly and carefully, suddenly aware of the real power of his aura.
The fighting blindfolded didn’t impress him near as much as the
ability to detect lies, he seemed to be taking this topic
seriously.
"Yes." Yung closed his eyes. "While detecting where someone is, is
an aura ability that only Lucario such as I possess, the ability to
sense and discern emotions is something that's innate from when
Lucario are just little Riolu." Yung smiled. "...from there...it's
pretty hard to lie to one."
Gadian tried not too look too interested, fumbling with his paws as
he walked. “Huh, interesting,” He forced his voice to be flat and
his gaze empty, his ears flat against his back. “Sorta like the
lake at my forest, every hundred years it can answer any question
truthfully. You remember it? We visited it once.” He winced at the
thought, though it was only noticeable in a twitch of his whiskers.
"Right, I do remember." Yung stopped walking and turned around,
putting one paw on Gadian's arm. He would've put it on his shoulder
but Gadian was much taller then him. "Like right here. You don't
have to force yourself to sound disinterested, you know? There's no
one else here right now. Just us two."
His blue gaze slid away, his body tensing. “Yeah, of course. I know
that.” He mumbled, his teeth gritted as he forced a convincing
enough grin. Gently shrugging Yung’s paw off of his arm, he flicked
his hood over his head in a single movement, a messy clump of fur
falling over his eyes slightly. He flicked it away with one paw,
but it swung back into his view. He squinted and drew his head back
a bit, trying to focus on the Yung like any other normal creature
would. His tail flicked in annoyance in his cloak.
He chuckled lightly. "Either way...I think...I've found where my
aura's been pointing to." They were just standing a few feet away
from the slight tear in the air, that was ahead of them. Something
out of place at least. There was no knowing what was on the other
side, as all one could see from the angle they were standing at
were some colours... unnatural colours...perhaps what you might see
if you were completely out of it.
Gadian widened his eyes, feeling the distortion of the tear. He
realised how obvious the fact that it was here, feeling the air
tugging at his fur. Stupid, keep your guard up. It’s not
hard. He thought, his inner voice sneering. He bit back a hiss.
“Curious. Is this leading to another world?”
"...I can't sense anything familiar from this portal. If this is a
portal leading to another world... it's not one we've been to."
Yung sighed. "...though I don't think my aura sense is that
powerful. I'm inclined to jump in and find out."
Gadian experimentally lifted his arm, creating a vine from the
ground. With a gentle thrust of his arm, he sent the vine through
the portal, the vine tearing as soon as it passed the mouth, making
Gadian spit a curse before lifting his arm back away and shaking it
gently. “That hurt, it won’t hurt us though.” He muttered, rubbing
his paws together.
Shrugging, Gadian experimentally put an arm through it and felt
himself get sucked in. He looked around wildly at the colours
before scrambling in the air, his hood falling from his head and
strand of fur certainly out of his vision now.
Now this was a unique method of travelling through dimensions...
They seemed to be travelling through what seemed to be a tunnel at
some speed. Yung seemed to be on some imaginary snowboard...as for
Gadian...well. Yung didn't know what he was on, if he was using
anything at all.
Gadian shook his head, blinking in mild panic as he found his
bearings, spotting Yung on a familiar plank of colour which Gadian
forgot the name for. Looking down, he saw a similar plank of
colour, suddenly realising that changing his weight distribution
causes it to move, sort of like a log. Leaning forwards, he slid in
beside Yung. “Wh.. where are we?” He stammered, eyes wide and cloak
flapping. Gadian had never seen so many colours, it made him dizzy.
