Not long before the flames had engulfed the room- there was a pop and there was a quiver full of fresh arrows in front of Mehul. He wasn't immune to fire like a lot of the Hephaestus kids back at camp, but he came out with just a few burns and scratches. He noticed the girl fall unconscious, swung his quiver over his back, retracted his bow into his watch, and went running towards her. He picked her up and took her towards where the rest of the group had went. While he was unharmed, and so was his bow and quiver, his clothes were tattered and burnt.

The halls seemed to be twisting under their feet, but eventually, they led to Vlad and those who had run as well. He saw the girl's limp form and sucked in a sharp breath. "Not again.." he muttered. He turned to Mehul. "I'll take care of her from here. Thank you."

Mahogany blinked and tried to shake the sunspot-like flares out of his eyes as the other boy nearly ran over him. He didn't even seen to notice him. That was when he realized he'd accidentally done what he'd been trying to avoid. In an involuntary defense mechanism, he'd vanished into simply a shadow on the wall he had been standing just beside; the shift in perspective had been masked to him when he'd shut his eyes against the light from the fire. It must have happened just moments after he'd called out to the girl.

He hoped he hadn't been seen by any of the others. It was annoying when this sort of thing happened, but he usually reassured himself with the knowledge that he wasn't the only Protector who struggled with disabling their abilities. Whenever Cedar ventured into the forest, all sorts of greenery sprung up in his footsteps if he wasn't careful, and that was only the tip of the iceberg. Sometimes when Cres reached out to touch something, her hand would phase right through the object. It had been funny at first, but by this point he could tell it got on her nerves. However, now this was seriously inconvenient for him. Quickly slipping back out of the shadow and into physical form once more, Mahogany rushed after the black haired boy, following him back to the gathering of people.

Mehul nodded and- handed her limp body to Vlad. He noticed the other person- the tall blond boy, who had almost melted out of the shadows, but he just shrugged it off. Must be some form of shadow travel he supposed. After the two back-to-back monster attacks, he wasn't keen at all to see what else the female voice had in mind for them. Then he remembered the quiver he got, and muttered a thanks to Apollo quickly, promising a offering when he was able to make one. He wondered if they would find anything to eat here, and then if he could even trust the others not to be selfish if they do find anything.

"Right," Vlad said, shifting her to his arms, "She'll wake up in about 30 minutes or so. But we have lost quite a fighter until now. But I think we need to introduce ourselves, and fast. I'm Vlad Karanoff, and this is one of my co-workers, Rose Perkins," he said, nodding to the girl in his arms. The little black monster squeaked out something unintelligible, and when all eyes were on it, it simply shrugged.

"Mhm, I am Mehul Shah-" he started to give more details like him being a demigod and stuff, but thought against it. With another glance at the two unconscious bodies in the room, he asked "Does anyone have any kind of a musical instrument?" While he was mostly at the warrior lines, he had training in healing, being a son of Apollo. He knew how to speed recovery with the help of music. And sunlight. But there was no sunlight down here.

Nodding politely to the man and, moving three feet to the side of the boy in front of him, the nineteen-year-old said, "Mahogany Lake. A pleasure." He forced a sense of calm that he certainly didn't feel into his tone in hopes of helping put the others maybe slightly more at ease. He knew he certainly wasn't the oldest, the man, Vlad, was definitely his senior, but it was a force of habit to act as such. Caly often laughed that he acted five years older than he was. He supposed he'd picked it up largely due to the age gap between himself and his two younger sisters; he was 10 years older than the youngest of the two, a span he alternately loved and hated.

Vricollei gave a tired sigh as people began introducing themselves. Great, now he'd need to memorize a whole bunch of names for people he will most likely never see again. They also wouldn't be paying him so he couldn't even motivate himself to get to know them. "My name is Vricollei." The devaronian finally spoke, though it was more of a grumble. "I've never even seen a maze until now either so I'm going to have to say no."

Gin woke up in a corner of the room.He was awake and heard the voices of people saying their names."H-h-hi I'm Gin"he said nervously."I'm a inventor if you find anything you think I can use please give it to me"Gin added.He hoped he didn't come off as the weakest person in this maze.He didn't like relying on others ,but Gin needed to stay alive even if he had to be the weak link.

"So we're all in working order, we have a vague idea of who we all are, and to answer your question, I honestly have no idea. I'm assuming that one of you, maybe it was Rose, killed the one going after us. But I have no doubt that the voice...thing is going to send more challenges our way. A sick kind of game, if you ask me. Much prefer poker. But that's beside the point. Since we have no idea what she's going to send after us, or when, I would say that we don't have a lot of time to stay still.

She nodded, looking around. "So... Which way..?" She said, her first words spoken ever since she's been here. Her voice was soft and calm, but there was still a sense of uncertainty in her voice. Reluctantly she walked over to Vricollei. Her aura hovered in the spot she was just sitting down at; the aura being calm and gentle.
She perks up, saying "My name is.. uh... Violets" she says, looking around at the people.

"Damn the Oracle didn't even warn us about this freakish game as you say. Unless of course she did give a prophecy and Chiron just didn't think enough to warn us all. Ah well, I wasn't in the camp for the past few weeks anyways-" he muttered. "But anyways, I guess you'll won't even understand what I'm ranting about." He gave a nervous chuckle. "So we leave first thing when Rose is up?"

“Oh, poker’s interesting. Never tried it myself.” He shook his head immediately after speaking. What was wrong with him, trying to make friendly conversation in this place? It was one thing to be upbeat and chipper going into a fight in an attempt to make his companions feel at ease, but here it really wasn’t appropriate. “Er, yeah, getting a move on does sound like a good plan.”

He had no clue what the boy who reminded him of Tempest was on about.

"Yes, we do kind of need Rose awake, he said." "It's been what, ten minutes now? We can start off slowly, but we'll have to be careful," Vhan said. He heard the question and turned torwads her. "Rose is fine. It's just a little side effect of her powers. Long story short, she has to draw energy from some..one. And too much of that knocks her out. It's normal after a tough fight like that."

"Poker, is that some sort of gambling game?" Vricollei asked, sounding intrigued. "I do a bit of gambling myself but I mostly stick to sabacc." Sure the devaronian wasn't the best at the game, and sure it often irked the crew, but what could he say. Vricollei liked challenging the odds. The merlot sentient didn't necessarily want to get moving again, but he supposed it was the best course of action. The kid he had rescued could prove helpful in his own way, should Vricollei's blaster ever got jammed he supposed. Just another weird parallel between Gin and the kid.
