Wayward Heroes (RP Thread)

But most of all she missed Candy, her young golden retriever that she found as a stray and took in and befriended. She sighed. There wasn’t much she could do about it right now, and Candy could handle herself. Tucking her journal safely away, Isseah pushed herself up and went to go talk to Animã. “Hello there,” she said, approaching the fairy, “you’re the one that brought us here, correct? Can you tell us exactly why we’re here and what we need to do to leave? You mentioned some kind of evil, right? Are we supposed to fight it?”
"you were too correct"
"...I see you've got a bow there." Melia gestured towards the weapon Ester held in her hand. "How long have you been learning?"

She told herself that was silly, it's barely been half a day, surely they'll leave soon.
But still...
She shook her head. This kind of thought would only lead to more trouble. Focusing her energy, she allowed herself to float a little ways above the earth. Soon, she felt herself growing tired, and she dropped back down. The others were having an interesting conversation about magic and wishes and stuffed animals, but she wasn't listening. She was too deep in her own thoughts to pay them any mind. She was so lost in her thoughts, in fact, that she completely forgot that she was still talking with Anima. She soon zoned out and stared off into the distance, upon the horizon that the sun was steadily approaching.
She smiled to herself. It sounded cheesy, but at least it was somewhat true. Whatever evil they were going to face, they could face it together. The good guys always win.
Right...?

With a smile, she finished speaking and went back to writing in her journal, though she was nearly finished.
As she finished writing the last strokes of letters onto her journal page, Isseah felt the temperature cool as the sun dipped below the horizon, leaving behind only small streaks of red and orange like blood across the dark sky. Sighing, she placed her pen back in its spot and closed the journal, setting it inside one of her pockets.
Now what? she thought.
