Piplup probably looks the cutest, but I tended to prefer fire starters the first time I played Fire Red and Sapphire because I liked the feeling of easily fainting the beginning chance encounter grass pokemon since the first areas tend to be forests. If I had to chose, then probably torchic.

Has to be a tie between the feraligator line because I always found the final evolution to be cool looking, and then thanks to the anime and it being so God damn happy then I can't help but love totodile and it's whole line return, Samurott because my first generation was Gen 5 as I tried my best with Snivy but up and went with the water one so I could beat the game, (I also like to call it s final evolution Sammy for fun) and then there's the Quaxly line, this is because I feel like Quaquaval is one of the most alive and not dead looking and actually looking like they have a personality for a starter and a Pokemon in general for a long time.
