The warm embrace of Akiro's arms filled Chelsea with joy, his kiss sending her back to the blissful peace they'd had in the desert temple. Tears of happiness and joy were making their way down Chelsea's cheeks, her smile never growing dim. They were about to be free. Free, with each other. They were safe from the touch of the Capitol. The tributes here only wanted to escape. They didn't want to win. They wanted freedom, too. Everything was still beautiful and perfect, and freedom hovered over their heads, descending slowly as the two kissed.

Rui was quiet for a bit before she lifted her head and answered. “That thing will take us out of here, right...?” She asked, like not even she was sure it was safe. After a small nod from Lesia, another tear made its way down her face. “Don’t let me go on there... I can’t go back... I...” she swallowed a lump in her throat before continuing. “Let me die here... please...”
Jacovin choked on his tongue, hearing the words that Rui spilled. A fire lighted itself within his heart, a small drip of rage tingling on his tongue. "None of that," he snapped. "You are going to stand up and go to that hovercraft. Is that clear?" His voice gained an edge never seen before, as if somebody had acted up, and he were the drill sergeant. He still didn't turn his head, though his voice carried just as much power. "Now enough with the weeping, and stand up. Now." His face was twisted slightly with a stern glare, though it still faced straight ahead.
Rui lowered her head to reach her knees, firmly clasping her hands over her ears. The tone terrified her, striking fear into her core. That tone was all too familiar, but she saw it as something that was dangerous and terrifying, something to avoid. “S-stop...” she managed to let out, her body very subtly shaking. Fearing what would happen if she didn’t, she did her best to stop crying, and wiped the tears away before standing up. It was almost like an instinct, something she couldn’t exactly control. She wanted to protest but those words seemed to stun her, leaving her unable to say anything to oppose it

Jacovin held still as Rui stood, his hand now resting on Liali's head. The wolf was tall enough-or the Tribute was short enough-that she could lead him from there on.

Lesia gave a sad smile as Rui began to stand up, unsure of what to do now. She knew she wouldn’t be able to change her mind, but at least she was listening to them. She continued to look between Rui and the hovercraft before she began to hear soft sniffles. She looked down at Rui and the smile immediately faded. “Rui...”
As the hovercraft descended above them, Chelsea felt her hope swell again. Their escape was directly above them, approaching with every passing moment. Only two thoughts occurred to Chelsea at that moment. How comfortable she felt in Akiro's arms, and how much she wanted to kiss him again. So she did. She pulled back ever so slightly, then leaned forwards and kissed him. To her, the feeling would never fade. It was pure bliss, packed into a single action. And she never wanted it to stop.

Rita and Co had arrived around the time the dome had gone down, Coraline was leaning against Bella for support, though she still looked like hell.
(CORALINE LIIIIIIIIIIIIIVES!)
Chelsea looked up, the hovercraft quickly starting to fill. Taking Akiro's hand, she lead the way to the ladder, grinning the entire way. They were so close to being free, just a short walk and a climb. Turning to look briefly at Akiro, she giggled. "You're going up first this time."

Jacovin nodded, then froze as Lesia vanished. When she came back, he did notice that the progress was slightly slower, and that Liali had returned. Her panting was loud enough for Jacovin to know she was there. After a few moments of piecing it all together, he asked, "You're carrying Rui?"
