Itari didn’t exactly know why she was called to this meeting, but
she went along with it anyways. The warm glow of the sun made her
sleepier by the moment, more than she already was. The steady pace
of their feet hitting the ground below simultaneously lulled her
and kept her awake, it was quite strange. She walked slowly and
lightly, making her the back end of the group. She didn’t know any
of these people, all she knew is that they slayed demons just like
her. She didn’t bother to talk to them, all it would give her is
useless info she didn’t need to know. A yawn had escaped her mouth
as she stopped to look at the sight of the trees above, filtering
the sunlight like a strainer. After she took the familiar sight
above her, she continued walking, even further behind.
Kenji was walking behind Kariyaa. " Hey... Kariyaa... Do you know
why Master called us?" He asked in his low voice. His voice was
hoarse. He didn't talk much. Only to his friends and Master. He was
slouching because he just woke up. He stretched his arms into the
air and yawned.
He looked back at Kenji, "Something about the alarming rate of
demons that are popping up everywhere, and the number of his
children decreasing every time they are sent out on a mission". He
looked up into the sky and sighed, "I hope we're just not in
trouble, as long as I get my peace I wont rest..."
" Oh... I guess we got some more demons to slay." said Kenji. He
started to yawn again. He looked at Tyuga and said, " I guess so...
What is it?" He walked over to Tyuga. He rubbed his eyes and then
leaned towards Tyuga to hear him better. " This better not be
something weird..." He said as he cupped his ear.
“Well i was going to tell you somthing that is the reason I’m
always alone” said Tyuga “the thing is... well you see my hair and
how it’s all black? Well it’s like that because m- my dad was
turned into a demon and he did somthing and now I look like this
and if u tell anyone I swear on my sword I will slice u to pieces”
" I honestly don't care. I am still gonna kill him. It's our job to
kill demons. No matter who they are." said Kenji. " And I don't you
can kill me. You can most certainly try but you won't
succeed." He gripped his blade. He had a murderous glint in his
eyes. He walked back over to Kariyaa and said, " That's why I don't
talk to many people. Kids like him are annoying."
Kariyaa gripped Kenji's hand that was on his Nichirin. "Shut up you
two! There will be no slayer blood spilled on these sacred grounds
do you hear me?"
He turned his head to Tyuga. "You shut up as well, making empty
threats to an elder that can easily overpower is a serious offense,
know your place young man...". He let go of his hilt and kept
walking
Another yawn escaped Itari’s frown, quite bored of the whole ordeal
happening in front of him. There was always the cocky kid who
thought he was cool, and there was always a childish one. She
couldn’t expect nothing more or nothing less, but she still was
tired of it. Tyuga did have a point, being young didn’t always mean
immaturity or weakness, but she still saw their case that way. She
was only 16 and she was pretty well off, not much trouble came to
her. Her mind began to drift away in these thoughts before she
anchored them down with a stop in her walk. She had a sudden urge
to tell them to be quiet but buried it as she continued walking.
She was glad she did as someone else had interfered.
They soon arrived to their destination and stood in line. Kariyaa
quickly fell to the ground and bowed down to the master. "Your
excellency, we have arrived on short notice."
Kenji started to laugh so hard, he bent over and put a hand on his
knee. " 14?! You've gotta be kidding me! You really are a
child!" He started to cry laughing a bit. He couldn't believe they
let a child be a Hashira. The kid must have some pretty good skills
if he was a Hashira at so young. He quickly stops and kneels. "
Master. It's nice to see you. What news do you have for us?"
Itari followed the others and bowed down, but without saying a
word. She never really liked the other Hashira and decided to keep
her distance, but she was afraid she didn’t have a choice this
time. She had noticed the increase in demons and knew it might come
to this. Wait... Wasn’t there something about a guy that turned
into a demon? He was a former Hashira, right...? Her memory was
always fuzzy but she didn’t really mind it, until now that is. She
decided it was best not to think about it for the momenta and
continued to focus on what was happening now.
