Flicker of Hope (APL part 2)
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Flicker of Hope (APL part 2)It took Faith everything she had at that point not to drop any curses. "Hope, I told you to stay with your father."
Hope looked up at her, "I know but-"
"No. No "buts" about it Hope. I'm serious, wandering around out here is dangerous."
Hope giggled and Faith raised a brow at her. "You said "butt" mom." Hope giggled again.
Faith sighed and set Hope down. "Hope, please go back to your father."
Hope pouted. "But I want to stay with you-"
"No, absolutely not. This is too dangerous for you. Please go back."

Hope looked up at Lucy. "You're coming back home now?" Her eyes glinted in happiness, clearly happy she wouldn't be losing another sister.
*Ripley coughed more and adjusted her position. Lucky walked over to her and felt her forehead. It was burning* How was firing practice, Lucky?
"Our starting point is avoiding these "nests" as Lucy calls them as much as possible." Sal pointed out. "The less we encounter the lower our chances are of being caught."
"It could've been better," Lucky admitted a bit disheartened. "You feel okay? You're burning up."
*Lucy nodded* Seattle may be a large city, but luckily he must be stationed in one place so if we run into heavy resistance, we'll know that we're close.
Faith looked at Lucy. "So where do we start?"
"Getting there in one piece preferably," Salvadore stated flatly. The tension within the adults was there, this was a very serious mission, one slip up could get them all killed.
*Ripley nodded* Thanks Lucky.. *Ripley began to wheeze as she slowly took breaths in and out*
Lucky spotted one of the guards and used the weapon she'd been provided to splat in him ink to catch his attention. Once he turned around to face her she glared at him. "She needs medical treatment! Now! I don't think your boss would like it if she died on your watch, he might even kill you for it."
*Lucy nodded her head and closed the map and the group made their way back to the the road to Washington.*
Faith and Lucy were walking side by side, Hope was resting on Salvadore's back piggyback style as he walked slightly behind them to give them directions to get to Washington the fastest route possible.
Hope, who was being led by Salvadore, rubbed her eyes. "Mom, I'm hungry. . .and I'm sleepy."
Faith looked back at Hope and the rest of the party noting their weariness, as she then turned back to Lucy Faith noted dark skies ahead. "Lucy, I think we should rest in town to wait out the incoming storm, plus it would give us time to recover since most everyone's tired."
