I woke up to a bird's cry and the sun beating down into the almost bare room I sleep in. Looking around at the muddy walls, I pushed off my cover, grabbed my basket and slipping on my boots. A small bluebird with three tails swooped in, chirping happily. I giggled, stepping onto the round, wood platform and grabbing the rope, pulling myself up. A dog licked me with his rough tounge when I got up, and I giggled, almost falling onto the items behind me.
"Off we go, Scout!" I walked along the cobbled path, the sun beating down onto my ginger hair with my dog at my heels. I walked into the nearest convenience store, taking out my shopping list. "Eggs, milk and bread."
"...And pet feed." Scout yapped, and I laughed at him, and walked over to the bags of pet feed, picking up one for dogs, one for rabbits and one for birds. "Where's the milk again?" Iplaced the thatched basket on the ground, placing the small bags of pet feed into the basket, the dog having grabbed the glass bottle of milk in a soft grip in his jaws and placing it down next to her, earning him a pat on the head.

I turned my head after standing up, and behind me was standing a woman. She had curly, blonde hair that sat at shoulder length with the same blonde coloured rat ears that stuck straight up to match. Her rat tail almost touched the floor, and her minty eyes glistened in the light. She seemed to be in her early 40's, and her expression was kind and soft. But only when she spoke to me, did I notice something.

"Hey, any chance you know someone called Felix? I'm pretty sure he lives in a scrapyard around here, and he's a bit like me..."
