well i tried to find similar suggestion/ post in some thread, but was unable to find it, so ill make a new therad :P

so, i was conversing with my friends in a group chat, and had this idea, that sometimes while mass releasing pokemons, we might accidentally even release those pokemon we want for dex, but were placed in the wrong box due to mistake/ winning from AH [happens many times with me xD]
so, my idea is that there is a search tool, like the one in AH, with the name of pokemon and number of pokemons, and by clicking on the pokemon, we can just go and see all the pokemons we released, just like AH works with the selected pokemon.

How would you know which of your Pokemon you released when you did it on accident? And if you do realise it right away, then why not just search through the most recent pages manually? I believe that takes just as long as scrolling through a list looking for a name/dex number...

I too agree with Riako and also, if we would have released any mon which we needed for dex, then, for that mon we will not pay 10k pd as they don't that much value! I think there's no need of search filter...coz majority of mons or more don't have the value of 10k pd we had released. I think in place of search filter, there should be an extra sort 'Legendary/Special/Unown/Ditto' so that if we had mistakenly and unconsciously released these, we can find them... :)

well i didnt think of that, but also consider this case:
someone is participating in medal rally and is lab hunting, and hatches nearly 300-400 eggs on x2 day or the day on which a new event was released [more interactions on those days], and many people release the lab mons they hatch, then it will be difficult trying to search them
@sparks: some people care about OT more than 10k pd 😅 but yes, i completely understand what you mean

I'll just copy and paste my thought on it-

A search feature similar to the GTS and Auction House would be a super helpful addition to the Pokemon Recovery Tool.

Say you're a user who has hatched & released a ton of Pokemon and later on you're trying to complete a dex/need a certain mon for a task such as Furfrou Salon, or a Rumble Area and you're having a hard time finding someone selling/breeding/trading them + you're currently stuck on a radar hunt (some can take more than a year..!). But you know you hatched and released said mon in the past- instead of browsing through page after page of possibly years of released mons, you can just search for it specifically.

Bonus points if the search function could work like the Gem Collector's, allowing you to type the name of the pokemon instead of scrolling but either way would be a greatly appreciated.

Yes Ctrl + F is a feature but it doesn't solve the problem of having to click to the next page until you finally find it. It's 30 mons per page you're able to look at, and say you have released 20,000 that would be about 833 pages to idividually look through.

That may not be the most common problem ever, but this little addition to this feature might be appreciated by some and in the long run

I support but also would like to see an IV section on Pokemon Released. I guarenteed someone on the site has released a 6 star pokemon. Would save us breeders lots of time if we could check

i don't want to sort through 20+ sites of shiny hunted Pokémon just to find, perhaps a single non-shiny skrelp. Please give us the possiblity to search through species as well. 🙏
