Yesterday I encountered a Zapdos whilst one of my pokemon was on a Galar rumble mission. Being dumb, my rumbler was just a level 30 Mewtwo and so I lost the Boss Battle and then it showed that mewtwo was going to return in 18 hours.
I checked the items that mewtwo was carrying and it listed some gems but also, to my surprise, "Galar (Map)".

I hoped that maybe Mewtwo would bring back a rumble map for Zapdos that might give me another chance at the boss battle. However, now that he has returned, I can't see a Map anywhere in my inventory.
Should I have a map somewhere, or was it just a mistake that the list of rumble items told me that he was carrying a map?

Thanks if anyone can answer this!

Well, the rumble is not visible as a item, you can just send more mons without even seeing it...
Hope it helps..

It'd be cool if you could get a second chance at the specific pokémon you couldn't beat, but the Galar Map item is simply a coding oddity. All other Legendaries need a specific map to be in your Item Bag to be found during Rumbling and you get the Map if you lose.

Galar is also a legendary rumble area [occasionaly] so the code mistakenly tries to give you a map (item) that doesn't actually exist and can't be used to trigger a specific Galar Birb battle.
