Anthony hesitantly opened the door, slowly sticking his head out. Had the door been unlocked the whole time? He slowly stepped out, looking around him. He started to walk down thehall, looking around, but still very unnerved.

Anthony let out a started yell, quickly whipping around and running back into the room. He slammed the door behind him, sitting up against the door. His heart was racing as he tried to steady his breath.

Hesitantly, Opal left her room. She looked around the hallway. There were many other doors, other rooms, perhaps?

"OK, I definitely don't remember this place." She muttered.

Opal walked down the hallway, occasionally sparing a glance behind her. For some reason, she felt like she was being followed. Suddenly, the hallway became to what appeared to be a large auditorium. Opal looked around in awe, but was snapped out of it by the sound of footsteps. She hastily hid behind a curtain.

Carrie has opened the door nervously after hearing the clicking noise. She barely poked her head out the door and looked around. “Hello?” She muttered nervously but wasn’t met with anything in return. Cautiously she took a step out, then another, and another.

She glanced around wearily. “Where to go now?” She whispered to herself.

Moon notices some other kids older than her heading into what looked like a big room, led by a boy with tentacles, she was hesitant, then she made up her mind to be brave and followed then carefully, keeping a safe distance between her and the last girl in line...

Opal heard more footsteps, all growing louder by the second. Opal drew closer to the wall. What if someone found her? Would they hurt her, or worse? The thought caused tears to well up Opal's eyes, but she quickly wiped them away.

Carrie nervously walked forward looking down mostly but every once in a while she looked up her eyes darting around the hall. Soon enough she saw a figure, another girl it seemed. She held her breath and stopped walking not wishing to attract attention to herself but she couldn’t hold it very long. She quickly let out an exasperated sigh before cupping her hands over her mouth worryingly.

Opal heard a gasp from not too far away. Oh no, had someone spotted her? Her heart began pounding, threatening to bust out of her chest. Opal drew in a shaky breath, praying to whoever was listening that she wouldn't be found.

Carrie then acted on impulse. She very slowly took a step attempting to make the least amount of noise possible. Her heart pounded. What if this was a bad idea? What if she should have just stayed in her room?

Why had she snuck out last night? If she had stayed in her bed she would have still been there in the morning. She bit her lip and shook her head. No, there was no time for thinking things like that. Now she needed to get out of this place and back home.

She took another step, another one, one more. She was an arms length from the girl. Carrie’s heart felt like it might pound right outside of her chest. The air was still and silent and Carrie couldn’t bear it anymore! She needed something, no anything to distract her from the thoughts that flooded her head.

Biting her lip, Opal did her best to hold back a sob. Even though she couldn't remember much, she knew this wasn't her home. Some on had taken her away from her home, from her family, and now they were possibly looking for her to do who knows what.

Her thoughts were abruptly interrupted by the feeling of a hand on her shoulder. With a loud shriek, Opal jumped back, her eyes wide with fear.

Opal’s shriek only scared Carrie more making her jump back as well with a help. She quickly reeled her arm back gripping her wrist anxiously staring at Opal worry covering her gaze. “I-I’m sorry!” She blurted quickly scuffling back. “You’re just the first person I’ve seen and I... I...” She stuttered blinking away tears.

Opal quickly calmed down, letting out a breath she didn't know she was holding.

"I-I'm sorry too," She stuttered out. "I just thought you were someone...bad." She couldn't help but feel guilty for scaring Carrie, more so for making her cry. Maybe she should try and lighten things up?


"My name's Opal..I think. What's yours?"
