The last pokeball trembled, and Aria picked it up, letting out the
pokemon within. Her heart melted at the sight of the Litten. “Are
you okay with coming with me? We won’t be doing much fighting.” The
Litten nodded, with a relieved expression. “Okay, so are you okay
with being named Firepelt?” The Litten nodded again. Aria
definitely did not take inspiration from a book series for
that name. Aria smiled at Firepelt as he scrambled onto her
shoulder, and she picked up the pokeballs and Rotom Dex. Firepelt
suddenly leapt off her shoulder, coming back with an Everstone.
“You don’t want to evolve?” He nodded shamefully. “That’s fine!
Your choice.” Aria told him with a grin, fastening the Everstone
onto his collar. She then waved good-bye to Professor Kukui and
left.

Shocker decides to follow Aria. She seemed nice enough, letting the
Litten choose what it wanted instead of her choosing for it. He
follows her secretly, trying not to make any noises.
Squishy is on a rock, eating some more leaves from a nearby bush.
He hated being weak, especially when he was a shiny and he was
targeted more.
Firepelt made a slightly concerned noise, and Aria looked at him
curiously. After a lot of gesticulating, she figured out what he
was trying to say. “I’m sure it’s fine. If they wanted to attack
us, they would already have done so. More likely they’re just
curious.” She reassured the Litten, but secretly took extra
precautions as well, her body tenser and more ready to run.
Raina leapt out of the water, doing a graceful somersault, and
landed back in. She grinned in joy and excitement.

Aria relaxed slightly. “I saw him earlier, he warned me about the
missing railing.” She whispered to Firepelt. Firepelt relaxed
slightly, blinkibg his eyes at the Umbreon. Maybe he was fine? “You
want us to follow you? Sure!” Aria added to Shade. She didn’t have
qualms over trusting random pokemon. Or people.

Raina stayed away from the weird human swimming around. She didn’t
really like her at first glance. Swimming to find pokemon? Yeah,
feel free to get bitten by Sharpedos, Carvanhas, Gyaradoses... She
scoffed quietly.

Cascade enjoyed the waves. She and Riptide dived under. Cascade
rubs salt out of her eyes. "Try making a big bubble!" she tells
Riptide. The popplio tries.
“Oh, you want a battle?” Aria grimaced slightly and glanced at
Firepelt. “Do you want to?” Firepelt nodded. “Okay, let’s try it
then...” Aria used the Rotom Dex to quickly check Firepelt’s moves.
Growl, Scratch, Ember. Aria glanced at Shade again. “Let me just
clarify: You really want a battle?” She didn’t want to battle
unnecessarily.
