and sees the diamond. he tries to grab it, but it warps away.
"ugh... one of THESE puzzles..." stardust says quietly.

Stardust sees a faint blue glow, and comes to the conclusion that
it was the gem from before. he is interested in what kind of gem
it could be. he casually walks up to the gem, hoping it doesn't teleport
away... again.

"please don't teleport away..." Stardust says to the crystal,
thinking it COULD be a carbink or other kind of gem pokemon.
either that or it was just a regular crystal.

Raoul waits, knowing the gem will move if he approaches. Please don't move... He prays to diance, or whatever other legendaries control the gems. He carries on waiting, and hoping, and thinking up a plan.
