I'm playing through pokemon White for the first time since it first came out. I am right in front of the opalucid gym, and I have Verizion on my team. I found and caught cobalion while looking for a tm and then Verizion in pinwheel forest. It's only 1 level above my starter.

Is it too op to use in a regular playthrough? I feel like I could use it since I caught and battled it myself, but at the same time my team was good before. Should I stick with my trusty Leavanny?

I don't know, you can get the stats of a mythical pokemon, but it could make the game easy, or you could use your Leavanny

I think its fine, down to what you want your team to be. I never worry about the levels, just what I want my team to be end game.

Ill drag a lvl 20 around with my E4 team and grind him up while doing E4 or before and have him help.

How ever you want to play, the beauty of pokemon games!

I havent really played though the game (SHOCKING) but play the game as you want! If you think it’s too op then you can just decide not use it then! By the time you get to the next gym/elite four it should be less op, but still powerful! :D

I always just use the pokemon I like the most, not the ones with good stats.

I didn't catch Virizion until later (due to me being a dumdum and not saving before trying to catch it) but I did use Cobalion on my team after I got it, which really helped me defeat Brycen. And honestly, play how you want to play, I won't tell you what to do with your Pokémon!

(nvm, this is dead now, lol)
