Something has changed within the world. It's all changed. And to
some, it's a dream come true. But to others, it's horrific. it
happened but three years ago: The sky flashed red at midnight
exactly. And then, the world erupted in chaos. Imagination, the
subconscious idea generator, suddenly started to leak into the
physical world. Objects started to appear out of thin air, and
people changed, whether it be age, gender, look, or even warping
into something between human and animal. But no sooner then this
has happened, it stopped. Only a few were left with this power to
create something from the air around them. They were called
Dreamers. By now, the world had gone back to the Dark Ages, but
with much less order, and much less disease. People became
monsters, seeking Dreamers to grant their wishes, enslaving them to
get what they wanted.
Luke is looking around him, like a crazed person. "What is
happening!" he says softly, afraid something will hear him. "This
doesn't follow any logic, not one bit." He checks his books, just
to make sure this has never happened before, which he is sure it
didn't. "I've gotta find someone to talk about this. Maybe they
know what's going on." HE runs out of hiding and goes sprinting to
find someone to talk to.
A pair of eyes watched Jack, evaluating him. The one who had these
eyes knew what was happening. He had figured it out. He now just
watched and waited for someone else to figure it out, too.
Marva was striding along a long, cobbled path that had been chipped
and broken over time. Her cloven hooves made a satisfying clopping
noise is she strode along. She saw Jack and the three people whom
where staring at him, then ran over. "What on earth is happening
here?" Her voice had a slight shaky lilt at the end of her
sentences, and the final word had a quiet bleat following it.
I'm trying to think of a good signature, so... Use your
imagination.
Luke runs into Marva. “Ahhh!” he says. “Sorry sheep. Gotta find
someone who can explain something about this to me. There is no
logic right now.” he says.
Flanery has woken up in a strange area she had not recognized yet.
She was in a familiar bed, but it seemed different. She was in a
familiar room, but it looked abandoned and absolutely destroyed.
She slowly got up and frowned. The place looked sad and disgusting,
like an abandoned animal left in a filthy sewer. Except, this
looked like it went through an atomic bomb. She immediately
realized that this was her house, the one she had previously slept
in... Wait, when did she fall asleep? What day was it? She reached
for her phone, only to find that it was nonexistent. Where were her
parents? Were they even alive? She quickly got out of her bed and
looked around through the house, hoping for any sign of them. Had
they left? She raced out the door, hoping people were around.
Nothing.
On the way out, she bumped into Luke. She was more relieved than
irritated. “Oh thank goodness... I was starting to think I was
alone!” She said with a sigh. “What the hell is going on?”
“I don’t know. That’s why I came to this house, to see if anyone
could explain. There is no scientific reasoning that goes with any
of this! What do you think happened. I woke up on the ground and
felt really weird.”
“I don’t have a clue, I just woke up with no memory of falling
asleep...” she muttered as she looked at him. Something did feel
off though... “By the way, what’s your name?” She asked him
“My name is Luke.” he says. “What’s yours. And do you remember
having a strange dream when you were asleep?” he asks. “It could be
my imagination, but I thought I dreamed about special people who
could do things or something.”
“I’m Flanery.” She greeted. “And come to think of it, yeah I did...
It was super strange and somehow seemed realistic...” Now that she
thought of it, her eyes felt slightly irritated and her back felt
heavy. Was it all really just a dream?
“For some reason, I feel incredibly tired he says as bags form
under his eyes. “Yawn. I’m gonna go lay down.” he says as he lays
down and closes his eyes. He starts naming countries in his sleep.
“Umm... Alright...” she muttered after she watched him. She left
her house with a confused mind and decided to take a walk around,
maybe someone else was around?
