I've played all iterations / generations of pokemon since choosing squirtle as my starter on the original game boy on Pokemon red.

I've had many debates about which gen is the least good and, for me, its Diamond and Pearl.

The story was good and memorable, the characters were enjoyable, but oh my god the game engine was slow. If i got to choose one last thing to do before i died, watching my health bar drop from full to zero on pokemon diamond would be it , because it felt like a life time.

For me , the above is enough to sour the experience. When i go back to play it, i just can't. Close second is pokemon Neopets...err i mean black and white.

But. If an updated remake of gen 4 came out. You bet I'd get it.

Gen 5. Never played it, I hate all the Pokémon except Reuiniclus and Zoarark (I actually cant spell wtf-)
The anime was also pretty trash, and I just can’t find myself playing black and white...
I also hate everything gen 5 and onward, except maybe gen 8 since it was actually a decent game..

And my favorite game is Diamond and Pearl, take that back! XD

Gen 2, it's not that I dont like it. It's just that it doesn't stand out for me. Also Cosmixx, we are gonna have to have a little chat about Gen 5

i think unova was fine lol, i really loved some of the designs ( solosis line, tympole line, pidove line, larvesta line, maractus, sigilyph ) but my least favorite gen was 6, i just found it pretty bland, no offense, the storyline was not interesting, and some of the designs just lacked taste

I would have to say my 2nd least favorite is gen 6, same reasons Wurmple stated. I played through the game in less than a day, still couldn’t find ANYTHING interesting about it.
Gen 1 was WAY too overrated, but it was an awesome game. I miss the days when you have a jerk of a rival...
Gen 7 is my 3rd least favorite, I just hated the totem Pokémon and the trials, they were just an unnecessary change that GF didn’t need to make. And don’t get me started on Z-Moves...
I am still in the middle of Gen 2, so I can’t exactly give an opinion XD But I do like how they put 2 gens in one game, and how you have a mysterious rival (at least at the beginning)
Gen 3 is still one of my favorites, I loved the Pokémon and I love the storyline. Alpha Sapphire was my first 3DS game I had, and I was glued to it. I would play for hours at a time, and I even stayed up an entire 24 hours trying to beat the Elite 4 because I didn’t know what the heck type matchups were XD

XY are incredibly, incredibly bland. The story and characters are just mediocre, there's nothing too fantastic or memorable about XY in my opinion. It's also the easiest game in my opinion, I breezed through it with a severely under-leveled party - something I couldn't do in SM/USUM because those games are definitely more difficult, so long as you aren't researching the Totems beforehand of course.

I didn't like Black and White, because of the storyline and the gym setup, and I was glad B2W2 came out. I say it was a large improvement.

Galar’s story is just kinda... nonexistent. I didn’t play it myself, but watched a twitch streamer play it. The game babies the player way too much and it just rubs how Leon is the champion in your face. It’s very annoying.

i think the only good thing from Galar is Woolo. the end.
