Pokemon is huge, the creatures are so interesting, the games are a huge success, even as a kid the formula seemed repetitive, but the concept was so interesting I stayed hooked.

Why are the owners/creators acting as if they're walking on thin ice in creativity, while at the same time shamelessly repeating the same formula for hundreds of episodes?

How amazing would it be if there was a more mature spin-off within the same universe, wouldn't have to be Attack On Titan, but everyone loves Avatar The Last Airbender, kids who grew up on Pokemon would love it, Characters having permanent character growth that wouldn't reset, interesting plots, the ethical dilemma of having Pokemon, no character resets, not having to be constrained for TV format checking in at any episode, It would be great, but probably won't ever be.

Years ago there was a dude developing an open world game, which got struck down, but why wouldn't they develop one themselves in the first place? The newer games seem great, they finally added animations, but it could be so much more.

It's huge as it is, but it breaks my balls how it seems like huge wasted opportunities to me.
