“Lights,camera,action~” the voice said as the scraping noise happened again, a clawed foot stepped into the light. Followed by another , then by a tail and soon you could see the whole figure.

Maven glared at the Salandit while looking a bit worried. Had this been the culprit? He couldn't think of a word to say. This creature was far different from the rest of it's kind.

"oh dearrrr what seems to be the matter, did I scare you?" he spoke mockingly "now why have you come to my domain." he hissed , balling one of his hands into a fist, he stood on his hind legs and was by the throne glaring at the skarmory

He cawed nervously. "I uh..." He gulped "I needed to get a gem or something from here...for my master." So this must be why nobody has ever managed to get thier hands on them...

He would had gladly started picking one out but...something didn't feel quite right. He had gone all this way to try and scare him out, and is now letting him pick out the gems he came for? Maven was skeptical still but... "Thank you- er, what's your name again?"

Yeah, 'King of Snobs'. That suited him more then just 'King', but he kept that to himself "Well then King, I sincerely thank you for allowing me to get what master requested." He wanted to sound as nice as possible for now, but something here just made him feel like he was in another trap.

He flinched at the sight of this. 'Now's not the time to get distracted, just find what your looking for. If it's another trap just-' he thought to himself, he didn't have a backup plan for if he did encounter another trap. He sighed and looked for a gem that his master would have liked

Maven saw one that caught his eye. An emerald was in the distance, shining brightly. "That's the one" He mumbled to himself. He moved over toward the emerald and picked it up with his mouth. Nothing happened, 'yet' he thought.

He moved over to the King. He had to drop it momentarily to speak. "Yes, I think I've found one they'd be satisfied with." He looked up at the Salandit and it's grinning face.

“Good , now.. unfortunately.. theres a itty bitty tiny litttle skitty problem.”

He clapped his hands and large crystals covered the entrance .

“I cant let you leave~”
He jumped down off his throne and dragged the skarmory by its wing deeper into the cave.
