I have an Applin and I want to evolve her into an Appletun. How do I do that?

You slather super honey (which you get from shiny male combee on route 53) on the honey tree, and eventually you see “evolve applin” on the honey tree and you can evolve her

it's a totally random event, you'll just need to keep checking the tree periodically :/
could take a few hours, could take a few days

Unfortunately there is no other way
the honey tree is the only way currently to evolve Applin into flapple/Appletun w/honey/super honey
it's a very annoying random event :v
