But Tomorrow Never Came
Forum-Index → Roleplay → But Tomorrow Never CameHow did it come to this ?
That was the single question that lingered on your mind as you gazed at the news on the television. Some sort of epidemic disease making people have an unsatiable urge to devour any human flesh. You knew you needed to run, but where?
Marianne yawned as she had her head in the palms of her hands. Class was boring as ever. Wouldn't something interesting come out? Looking around her, everyone was listening on the the teacher's monotonous lesson, making her heave out a sigh.
Somewhere, in an apartment building, a very stressed writer was seen residing in it. "This is dumb." Raye groaned, staring at his drafts then to his calendar. Right....The deadline was fast approaching and yet he's on his writer's block. Shutting off his laptop, the twenty eight year old proceeded to gaze out the window, where he could see the streets below. On days like these, he wished that he would be rid of his deadlines and get the sleep he deserves or people-watch.
Now, I'd say that's a task well taken care of! Uh… were you expecting something more?

After reaching the shop, she sat there for a minute, deciding to wait a few minutes. She quickly decided not to and went in anyways. She unlocked the door and walked in, then went into the back. She grabbed a few extra pieces of candy from a bin and put it in her basket to take to school the next morning. She then went to the front to examine everything and tidy the place up before opening time.
Everything was so quiet when she was out. Was it all in her head? No way, everyone heard that right? Suddenly, Marianne was pounced on the ground and was horrified when she looked at their face. "Oh, man." The high school student groaned, trying to push the weight of what she assumed was an undead off her body. Considering her physique, it was hard for her to do so. After a lot of pushes and attempts of evading the undead's bites, she somehow escaped and immediately ran. Ran for he life, she did as she got out of school, now noticing how noisy it was. "Oh, oh, what's happened...?" Marianne couldn't help but to feel helpless in this situation, but she didn't know what to do. So, she went to the nearest town to ask for help.
"It's like...A scene from a movie." The writer huffed, sweat forming on his face. The male immediately grabbed his laptop and shoved it in his backpack. He also did not forget to bring along his phone, although he rarely uses it. "Right...Weapons..." Raye mumbled, searching through his apartment for something. All he could find was a hammer and an aluminium baseball bat. "Had I always have this?" The bespectacled male murmured, inspecting the baseball before thinking that hey, it was a life or death situation.
(Sorry i went all out on this lmao)

It was now opening time and she was waiting for her co-workers to show up. They should’ve been here 15 minutes ago, but none of them were. Suddenly the door slammed open and 2 of the undead ran in. She shrieked and hid behind the counter, but they were already on her. She managed to escape into the back room and lock the door.
"Oh boy, oh boy." The ginger muttered under her breath when she saw that the townsfolk was screaming and running as undeads chased after them. She also realized she didn't grab her bag along with her, where she had her phone in it. "Ah, damn it all." Marianne hissed, searching in her pockets for something. All she got was a pocket knife she had on her at all times. "If there were any poles nearby, I could just stick this st the end of it and make a spear..." The high schooler hummed before going to the nearest store, where she saw two zombies in it.

Raye was now out of the store with a cart full of groceries and weapons and stuffed them inside his car. The writer contemplated on calling on his family members but decided that once he's in safety, only then he'll use his phone. The male drove forward, going to the candy store he frequented. The ravenette's eyes widened when he saw a high schooler running for her dear life from...something. And those something, rather, things were the undeads, now splayed on the street as the bespectacled male couldn't step on the brakes in time and hit them. Raye blinked once, twice. He never ran over someone before.
Now, I'd say that's a task well taken care of! Uh… were you expecting something more?
Oddly enough, Raye was quick to forget that he just ran over two undeads and stepped on the gas. "Tell me if you see anyone uh..." The writer trailed off, expecting the highschooler to tell him her name. " Oh, Marianne. Marianne Leicester." The ginger answered, gazing at the window. The male gave a curt nod and went back to his little speech. "If you see anyone that's not part of the undead, you tell me."
Now, I'd say that's a task well taken care of! Uh… were you expecting something more?
Raye went out of his car with his aluminium bat on hand. He never had any memories of baseballing. So where did he get them. "Oh well." The writer sighed out once more as he approached the door. The male pounded on the door, in a desperate attempt to save whoever was inside. He also hadn't realized that a horde of zombies were fast approaching due to the gunshots from earlier.
Now, I'd say that's a task well taken care of! Uh… were you expecting something more?
