Im ready for the day time to turn off the NES and get my first pokemon but let me get my potion from the computer...I wonder how do they stuff items and pokemon in such machinery?

Mom seems sad to let me go but I been dreaming of this for a long time, sorry mom. I walk out and against my better judgement head towards the grass only for Professor Oak to stop me and tell me its unsafe. He takes me to his lab and low and behold my neighbor Oak's grandson Phoenix is waiting. Oak had a hard time remembering why he brought us into his lab I guess old age is getting to him. He tells us it is his dream to complete the pokedex that is filled with pre-recorded data of pokemon. He also mentions he has a starter pokemon for the two of us and as usual Phoenix wants to be first.

I look at the possible choices and I went with Bulbasaur and named him Caesar. Phoenix picked a Charmander it seemed quite fitting. I do wonder what will happen to the poor squirtle will someone come to get him? I go to head out to show mom the pokemon I chose and then Phoenix wanted to battle me to prove his pokemon was better due to type advantage. we both got each other's pokemon to red and it seems Caesar was fast but I was gonna take a chance so i gave him a potion and finish the battle with a tackle much to Phoenix's dismay. After the battle I go to show mom but she doesn't seem too impressed about my pokemon and just says to take a quick rest. Once I left the house I went back toward the grass and meet new pokemon.

While walking through Route 1 I encountered a Pidgey and Rattata and a nice man from the pokemart gave me a potion that I sadly had to use soon after as the pidgey had hurt Caesar hard. I then make it to Viridian City. I decided to go to the Pokemart to get some potions and the shopkeeper seem to notice I am from Pallet Town and asked me to give a parcel to Prof.Oak. I mean I guess I can do that. After leaving and healing my pokemon at the Pokemon Center I begin the journey back which was easier than coming through. I come back to pallet town and head to Prof. Oak's Lab

I walk inside his lab and give him his parcel which turned out to contained some Pokeballs and as if on cue Phoenix comes in demanding to know what Gramps called him. After Oak tells us about completing the dex and giving us pokeballs Phoenix gloats the fact that his sister gave him a town map and that I would have to deal without one. He walks out and I decided to give his sister a visit. After visiting her we talk about Oak's task and she give me a map in hopes it would help. I head home for some rest and honestly I cant wait to catch my first Pokemon soon.

I wake up to start the new day and I leave home for the last time for a long time. I head to route one and run into a Rattata. I caught it in a pokeball after draining its energy via leech seed. Thus Ratigan joined our team and took him to train til level 7 with caesar. After healing at viridian city I head over to route 22 to get a peek and ran into a wild mankey. With a couple of Ratigan's quick attacks we were able to capture the mankey and name her Leonia.

After healing her with a potion we started another training and decided to travel deeper in the route only to be stopped by Phoenix who wants a battle so he sends out his pidgey and i send out Ratigan and after a few quick attacks his pidgey fainted however thinking ratigan can tank it it came worse when his charamander came out. not only did it ember ratigan to close death but also burn for even closer death so it was time for a switch into leonia in which with some scratching and kicking we came out victorious.
