Elimination: The Game (Sign Ups)
Forum-Index → Roleplay → RP Sign-up → Elimination: The Game (Sign Ups)Artificial Intelligence is now commonly being used as a replacement for human labour; however, just like most products of technology, there is still the constant need to run tests in order to achieve peak efficiency. The Government is currently recruiting volunteers for their next trial.
This trial calls for people who are willing to risk their lives, fighting against robots that have been programmed for war, earning 'points' along the way. At the end of the trial, they are able to cash in their points for large sums of money (assuming that they have survived). The event itself takes place over a week, in a large and secure compound, designed to simulate a desolated town of sorts.
There are, of course, a couple of small 'controls' participants must adhere to.

- Participants have the freedom to
form teams or stay solo, and they are free to switch at any point
within the week.
- Bringing supplies (food, water, weapons etc) into the arena is forbidden. Participants may only use supplies that have been randomly scattered across the compound, or any supplies received via sponsorships.
- An AI's system must be completely down in order for it to be considered 'dead' and for points to be allocated.
- There are currently no rules which protect participants from each other.
- Participants can be released from the compound at any time. However, their collected points will be ignored and they will be unable to claim any rewards.

Sponsorships: What are they and how are they earned?

Cameras have been placed across the
arena, capturing all the action live for the people outside to
view. Sponsorships are similar to care packages sent in by these
people to the participants, which may be food, upgraded equipment,
medicine, or even personal trinkets from home. Although they may
not always contain something useful. They're generally earned by a
participants likeable-ness to the audience and not necessarily
based upon one's score.
The AI involved:

Participants will have a single hour
headstart after entering the compound before 100 robots will be
released. What they do with this time, is up to them.
There are two types of AI that can be found: Scouts and Brutalists.
Scouts are small in terms of their frame, but much more agile and are sensitive to vibration. They're not too strong, but have a habit of alerting other AIs that are nearby. Brutalists, on the other hand, can tank a couple more hits but move slower. They locate their targets using thermal radiation. A punch from them will cause quite some damage and they are strong enough to pick upand toss relatively large objects within their
reach.

- PH and general rping rules
apply.
- Please use proper sentence/paragraph format, it doesn't have to be detailed.
- Have as many characters as you want, but be sure you can manage them.
- Characters are to be 18 years +.
- I can only ask that you try not to be OP. Like, please let don't allow your character to dodge every attack?
- Do not kill off someone's character without their permission.
- Note that weapons will be stuff like knives, swords, guns: basically, no magic.
- Relationships are allowed but keep it clean, please.
- Overseer(s) (currently I, and maybe 1/2 others - consider them mods/admins) will control day/night, sponsorships, and narrate AIs - they're basically the commentators of the event.
- PM if interested in being an overseer, however, I'll only be giving it to people I trust.
- If you're not a bot: include your trainer ID (found on your user profile) on the form.

If yes, give brief details: Is good at throwing daggers at targets and shooting bows. If attacking/defending/dodging while facing one direction, is very vulnerable to long range attacks from the back.
