He finally came into sight distance and saw what was going on "Battling? Here?" He muttered mostly to himself "Do they intend to draw other wild Pokemon here?" He dashed I between the attacks and took both staggering

Yup. That definitely cracked a rib. Not to mention the cut on his arm from night slash. His Zoroark immediately jumped in front of him.

The gray haired boy turned "Calm down. I'm fine. I'm sure she didn't mean for me to be injured." He looked back at her "I'm Isu by the way.. This is my partner Krie."

He was dressed in all black, a cloak tied around his waist. He didn't seem older then 18.

"It does, but for some reason, the main path has been traversed by some rather nasty high level Pokemon. I've been doing my best to make it safe, but..." He shrugged. "There's like 3 side paths though. They are much safer.
