Would it be possible to remove trades from the GTS made by users who have been permanently banned? A lot of the best trades have been made by users who are banned, so a lot of my items/pokedollars are locked away for a while, and it can take some time to click through to each user profile to see if they are still active.

I'm not suggesting removing the trades of users with temporary bans, as they are likely to return to the site.

honestly, this would probably help things a lot. those trades could be sitting there for months and not get removed after the 6 month mark because apparently the system is glitched?? so support!!

I'm not suggesting removing the trades of users with temporary bans, as they are likely to return to the site.

1. None of your items/pokedollars are locked because you offered them on a GTS trade? More like they're "locked" because you put them up on a GTS trade as an offer, and the seller doesn't reject/accept your offer, and you just keep waiting until they do something instead of choosing to limit yourself more as a buyer. Come to eventually find out you check up on the seller to see that they are inactive due to a permanent ban they had received.

That's when you could of just retracted your offer and moved on, or maybe leave them a PalPad message or PM (given you aren't blocked), and they would read it if and whenever they are unbanned if you're that interested in what they'd be selling? I usually do the first, sometimes both in this rare instance of finding a seller banned. But, also a good tip is to not offer on really old trades in GTS to more than likely avoid the inactives and to not waste time checking (those trades shouldn't be there anyway like they are now lol).

2. Temporarily banned, or permanently banned, it doesn't and shouldn't matter. Sure, temporarily banned users are likely to come back, but that's because they are locked out of the game for a temporary amount of time. Keyword: likely

Given the context, having logic, and using common sense. Bans of any kind in general can discourage users from continuing to play and end up leaving, as far as giving up the faith they have in this site. Same thing as players getting banned and appealing their bans. What if they felt their ban wasn't justified and their innocent? What if they wanted to appeal to admit they were wrong, realized that and apologized, or to ever try to get a 2nd chance? To get what they would feel is less severe punishment? What if they would succeed in getting that? Even looking at someone with a permanent ban, do you ever think looking at someone that had received one, and just judge them and come to the conclusion straight away that they deserved it? Or any ban for that matter? It's not like any form of moderation is perfect, and mistakes could always be a thing being made as well.

What I'm mostly trying to say that other people's bans shouldn't really be anyone else's business or concern honestly, especially if you aren't directly involved regarding the situation of someone else's ban. And just because someone would get hit with a permanent ban, doesn't always mean their ban would be indefinite either (yes, even permanent bans have been lifted here before even after such a short amount of time of them being received). All they're to say that: "we think that you don't deserve to be here anymore with whatever you've done", but does that mean that you can't do anything about it or try getting a 2nd chance? No.

Anyway, there's also already a system that takes down GTS trades every 2 months roughly at max, despite it being bugged currently, doesn't mean it wouldn't of been a fine enough implemented system given it was working.

That's fair enough and would be considerate towards every user on this site, banned or not banned. As for this suggestion, there's no point of it in my opinion, and I fail to think or see any good reason that it should be a thing.
