Avengers Endgame: Therapy Room (warnig spoilers)
Forum-Index → General Discussion → Avengers Endgame: Therapy Room (warnig spoilers)But yeah, regardless of whether the shield went to the right person, I'm kinda content with Bucky not getting it. I think the early day scrawny Cap was in Bucky's shadow back in the day and got out of it after becoming Cap. It wouldn't feel right putting Bucky in Cap's shadow in return by making him Cap's successor. I think it works well how they're both their own person/superhero. Though, then again, that's pretty subjective. Bucky taking on the shield could also be seen as him honoring his friend as his own person or something along those lines. So that totally makes sense to me too.
Yeah, Thanos did toss her aside there but that just didn't feel very... genuine? I mean, she just came down from the sky and exploded that big ship, took on Thanos, and didn't even flinch at that headbutt. And then the movie goes "welp, we gave Marvel her awesome moment, time to flick her aside for a moment so we can continue with the lot struggling against Thanos." To be fair though, I'm probably not being entirely fair to her. I suppose superheroes do often get glory moments like that. I just didn't like her as a character much so I might be harsher on her. :,D
As for captain marvel i didn't watch the movie either but it's just because i'm not interested in watching it :D someone said to me i HAVE to watch it to understand endgame better but i mean why should i? I got just last year in the mcu fandom which means there are a lot movies i didn't watch but i don't care about it.
To get again to the topic about stark dying while using the infinity gauntlet, i think it's because he was just an ordinary human and thanos was an alien dude but i can be wrong about it and it's just what I think was the reason why he died.

Im really sad to see Tony go, but im also thinking , 'what if he didnt?'. We'd probably get all Age of Ultron again, and i dont really feel like watching a repeat of that tbh.
I am really excited however to see those TV series of Falcon and Winter Soldier, Loki, Vision and Wanda, also read somewhere that Hawkeye will be getting his own TV series.
I hate you now , like seriously , you have no idea how much this upsets me
honestly to me, while the MCU movies are fun , its not canon to anything, as someone who grew up with the comics , and then the early cartoons , the MCU is just a mishmash of like several different canon comic runs per movie. and not all of them are even done well ( x men origins wolverine anyone? Deadpool with his mouth sewn shut, uh no ) in terms of the comics and non MCU canon, tony was NOT the one who created Ultron, hank Pym created Ultron , yes the old guy who scott steals the ant man suit from, who isn't as nice as the Disney movies make him out to be ( unless you call canonicly committing domestic abuse nice ) but of course the MCU didn't have any ant man stuff set up then, so tony gets blamed, cause yay lets all hate on him. I'm not saying hes right all the time or that he's perfect or anything, I just feel that tony gets so much hate that he doesn't deserve . Also, in terms of his whole thing in endgame? that's Disney for you, in comics he and pepper NEVER made it that far ( so sorry shippers , NOT ) in fact the only time he's ever been married in any sense is an alternate universe to the main comic/MCU timeline in which a female tony stark is married to, get this, captain America, Steve Rogers. I also honestly felt steve's ending was hokey , it was about as believeable to me as the comic run where he's been an agent of hydra all his life. I wanted cap to go out in a blaze of glory, not turn into a grandpa. Thor and Banner's portrayals just made me cringe, in a not good way. Yes I was a wreck after seeing the movie, will I ever see it again? possibly, But I can't look at the MCU the same after they basically vomited all over my favorite comic book character of all time like that.
Also look up at least pictures of bucky as captain America, he is dang BA
' pulls on Deadpool mask and stomps off , for now '
but yeah i 100% see your points. my husband is more into comics than me and i've only seen the movies so im taking your word on that oof

I see, that does explain at least some of it. Thanks for that bit of knowledge.
Also, on the topic of MCU screwing up stuff for the big screen, I can see why that would be upsetting to long-time comic fans, but stuff like that just has to be done sometimes. Like Hank being replaced by Tony as Ultron's creator. It was probably a right call in the grand scheme of things. There's a large portion of people who watch the movies who haven't read a lot of the comics and don't have knowledge on comic canon stuff. Bringing in Hank for Ultron would've made the story way less interesting/engaging, as opposed to a character that the audience already knows and loves messing up. And, in general, stuff that works in comics doesn't always translate well to a movie. There's also so much stuff to pick from the comics that there's no hope to include everything so of course they choose the most interesting stories to tell and change some things to make them work together.
And that's Disney indeed. The MCU is supposed to be PG-13, of course they're gonna nicefy the characters who are in the good guy team and add a little romance fluff. Not that I think letting Tony and Pepper have their nice little family for a bit was a bad call. Again, it worked on the big screen. The two of them have been a somewhat thing since the beginning and giving them closure like that makes sense when it comes to story telling. (As much as I don't like romances shoved into everything. If you're gonna start, you better finish it too.)
As for Tony, I haven't really heard him being that hated on, but that can depend on where on the internets you hang out, I suppose. Even though he's no favorite character of mine, I really do like his character growth through the MCU and I thought he was handled pretty well. I don't think Age of Ultron put the blame on him to have him be hated. The movie was pretty clear on his motivations and intentions and it was quite the usual 'hero messes up and sets out to fix his mistake' scenario where we're supposed to root for the hero. But, yeah, it's a pretty subjective matter and I'm not saying you're wrong for not liking what the MCU did with him.
Finally, I must nitpick: Let's not bring the atrocity of that Deadpool into the discussion when talking about the MCU because the X-Men movies are not a part of the MCU.
And as a child i didn't know that something like marvel even existed x'D and i'm born in the late eighties it's the same year quill got abducted by yondu :D it's really funny that either my birthyear or birthplace gets used in movies. Like the airport Leipzig/Halle (which is in my old hometown/homecity) in civil war.. i dunno but it makes me feel somewhat special x'D
