What is the point of the Berry field? I don't think I can use the Berrys that I plant and Harvest so I don't really get the point.

There for cooking aside from that pretty much useless

As CedarStar has said, they can only really be used to cook things ^^ However, by completing the orders at the bulletin board, you can occasionally get gems, mulch, pd, as well as white powder - used to get virizion, terrakion, and cobalion.
