Six cats of six groups dominated the Old Forest, they functioned much like Clans, however did not know the name. The groups were ruled by Wave, Rock, Spark, Flare, Blossom and Frost. Wave lived in a land that was mostly wet and had many rivers, across the largest river lived Flame, a forest with many clearings. Farther away from the forest was Sparks land, a wide territory with hills and a strange metal thing sticking out of the ground on the tallest hill. Rock shared the territory above Spark with Blossom while Frost dominated the mountains looming over everyone.
Disaster first struck in Wave, Rocks and Blossoms territory. After a few sunrises of rain the river territory flooded and a mudslide consumed the shared territory of Rock and Blossom. During the storm lighting struck Sparks land and charred their hills, starting a fire that spread to Flares territory. Up in the mountains an avalanche shook the paws of Frosts group, with all of these tragedies few cats survived so they all had to merge together to survive, however they couldn't find Sparks survivors.

The new grouped up cats had to leave their territory as it was ruined, so they followed the lingering scent of Sparks cats as they seemed to have left the territory before anyone else, the ones who survived at least. The cats soon found Spark and gladly joined him in their new territory by a large lake, sooner than later strange things started happening. Frost was so cold to the touch while Flare was hotter than green-leaf and anyone that would get close to Spark flinched back with shock. Wave was wet all the time, everytime Rock shook out his fur he got dirt everywhere and Blossom smelled of the sweetest things in the forest and wherever she stepped flowers followed after her. Soon the six leaders found out others were experiencing the same strange things and more and these abnormalities came to be known as Elements.
With the discovery of these new elemental powers fights broke out because everyone was so different and the only solution they could find was splinting the group into three clans to take the main territory. They had heard about Clans on their journey to the New Forest and since they had lived similarly in the Old Forest they decided to try it out.
Few moons have passed and the cats are still learning about their powers and the ways of clan life.
