This is regarding my goal to complete the Hoenn Pokedex. Do I need to get all Pokemon even from Gen I and II? For example, I went online and searched 'hoenn pokedex' and the result I got from Bulbapedia is, to say the least, a little overwhelming. I got Pokemon all the way from Abra of Gen I, to Pichu of Gen II. What I am saying is, to complete the Hoenn dex in Pokeheroes, do I refer to Bulbapedia? Or the Pokedex feature available here?

You refer to the pokedex here. To complete each of the gen pokedex, you only need to obtain all available pokemon for that generation. So, for example, to complete the Hoenn pokedex, only the Hoenn section matters.

Though you don't need to get deoxys to complete the Hoenn dex as a deoxys is the reward for collecting all the other Hoenn pokemon.
