So, I just noticed while tunneling that whenever I find a random gem the page scrolls down automatically because the gem message is displayed way at the bottom.
This didn't happen a few days ago, so my guess is that it appeared with the new style for mobiles or Riako changed something on the desktop versions. I changed my browsers from firefox to chrome and I also tried to enable and disable the new mobile style settings here on my desktop pc and had the same results - it didn't change back to my normal display.
Normally it looks like this even if I find a gem and now the page scolls down like this and goes up again after the message disappears.

I really hope it won't stay like this forever because it's really distracting and I also clicked the banner and got to the index page because it's scrolled up on it's own while I was answering the next question.

It definitely started to behave like this as soon as the mobile support option was given.

However, for the time being, you can kind of fix the issue yourself by minimizing your browser window. I noticed that if you have the window only half the size of your screen (or, basically, any height that is enough for you to see the whole tunnel layout), it doesn't jump around when you're given a gem. The gem message will still be at the very bottom of the page, so you actually won't see gem notification at all, but yeah, it doesn't scroll all the way down.

I tested it with Opera and Chrome, it works with both browsers; not sure with others.

Yea, that's what I have been doing since it started and I kind of got used to it... even if the 100% size is better, but at least I can 'work' now XD
