pricilla
As a child, Priscilla was raised in a small apartment in New York City, her and her brother Cain were close, and she had two loving parents. Her mother was an accountant, while her dad she barely saw because he was in the military. One day, when she was 11, and her brother Cain was 12, their mother got a letter home saying their father wanted a divorce, he had met somebody overseas. Their heartbroken mother complied, and that was the last the siblings ever saw their father. Then, their mother got a boyfriend six months later. While he was sweet and charming in their mother’s eyes, he would constantly flirt and hit on the very young Priscilla, and Cain had told her he had done worse to him. Both were traumatized by the man, and their mother broke it off when she caught him being inappropriate with the children, and he ended up hitting their mother over the head with a glass bottle, where Priscilla and Cain had to dial 911. Two years later, another man came into the mix: he was nice enough, the kids barely knew him, he preferred to be out with their mother than in the house, which led to the two being home alone a lot. One day, Cain caught him slipping powder into his mother’s drink when she finally insisted on spending a night at the house. Then he attempted to tackle the man, where he got severely beaten up. While their mother had to take her boyfriend out of the house to end things before she would call the cops, Priscilla took Cain up to her bedroom and clean him up as best she could, and ended up giving him stitches on his left arm with a sewing needle, which was painful, but actually worked. Cain still has the scar. After this fight, Cain started football to try and get more fit to protect his family.
Two years after that, Priscilla was 14, and Cain was 15. Their mother had decided to give the dating game one more shot, with a charming family man who would always make dinner for the children, pack lunches, and play football with Cain. He was also the first person to teach Priscilla basic painting skills. After 4 months of dating, the sibling’s found their mother in the kitchen crying after a date night. She explained to them carefully that her boyfriend had already been married, and after being caught by his wife broke off the relationship with their mother. This was when Priscilla started making gory shock art, and took an interest to animal rights. Her brother was 17, Priscilla was 16.
Meanwhile, Priscilla started to do stuff like protests, tattoos, and piercings to try and communicate her inner anguish. Her first was a butt tattoo on her right cheek, showing a glass of “men’s tears” (which she still doesn't regret). A year later, Cain being 18 and Priscilla 17, came to the School of Magic and the rest is history. Priscilla still holds a grudge against male figures, specifically boyfriends/husbands, which is also why she is apprehensive to date. Just like Jalila, their mother was kind, funny, and sometimes a little crazy, which is why Priscilla especially hates to see Jalila date: she reminds her of her mother, and her mother would only get toyed with and abused by her boyfriends.

Eicho
Ever since she graduated college, she had devolopd a drinking problem. And a bad one too. In fact, she ends up spending almost all of her money on alcoholic beverages. In a little less than a year, she had become flat broke. She was in a deep hole. She had a week to pay rent. And all she had was an empty wallet and a gun. But none the less, she pulled through. She may have a drinking problem, but she was still pretty smart. So to get money, she would go to shooting tournaments (if that is even a thing), and win some money. For awhile, she had made it out of the hole. However, things did change one day. Through all of the drinking and abuse, she still had a good heart that sometimes felt emotion. And one day, this got the best of her. She was taking her usual evening walk down some side streets, when she heard a baby crying. At first, she simply ignored it and carried on. But as she continued, the crying seemed somehow more and desperate. So Eventaully, she walked over there. Indeed, a small baby probably no more than a month old had been thrown out onto the front of a house. One may think that someone had left the baby there to be picked up by the family who owns the house. However, the house had lights on and the crying had been going for at least an hour. So Eicho scooped it up and took it back to her room. Through taking care of the baby and drinking, winning the money wasn't enough. She was out on another walk. Likely her last before she got kicked out of the apartment. But that night, fate seemed on her side. She was staring at an old, dirty, brick wall when it happened. The world seemed to reshape itself, and her vision turned pink. For almost a minute, it felt as if She were falling endlessly. Afterward, she was in a different world. A world of magic.
Eicho woke up with a shock in the world. She was in a city street, in front of brick wall. She felt... Different. Somehow, she knew this wasn't the world she was just in. She walked out onto the street. It was daytime. The city looked... Well, like fantasy anime she would watch when she was a small child. Humans and lizard people didn't even exchange a strange look at each other, as if they knew each other already existed. She walked out into the sunlight, and for a moment, forgot she had just left her home and gone to a place she had never been before or knew existed. It was always cold in England, it felt good in the sun's warmth, a feeling she had almost forgotten. But then she rembered the things that had happened in the last minute, and she got moving. There where shops, but they wanted some kind of foreign currency. So onward she moved. Eventaully, she had cane to a small market. They asked for the odd currency too. She planned to move on, but then she overheard some people talking. "School... Magic... Attend... 14? ...soon!" She then realized what world she was in. It was a world of magic. The next week passed by slowly. She had managed to make a bit of money from gun competitions, but with no magic it was quite hard. She made enough to buy as much as a broken hilt in an old shop. One day, she was walking through the very same market that she had arrived at. She was simply going form a walk. She didn't have much better ways to kill her time. At the very same time, one of the stores were being robbed by bandits. No one skilled with their magic was there to help. Little she know, she was the closest to this event. Two men where robbing the booth, and one was keeping people away. As Eicho was the closest, the man took a jab at her. She panicked, and grabbed the knife he had. When she did this, she felt something rush through her. In her mind, she could picture the knife. And all she could think was what she could make this knife be. She was still thinking about the fight, and she thought a swiss army knife that was folded up would be helpful, but it wouldn't let her fight back very much. However, this was all she got to think of before it changed, which happened the moment she thought about the swiss army knife. And so it changed shape. Both she and the man dropped the knife, and it flattered to the ground. She didn't have time to think, though. She picked up the knife, and felt the same thing. This time, she though of an old sword she saw an officer carry in a parade. It was long and sharp. On instinct, she used the sword to strike the man down. Quickly, she dropped the sword and ran. She had just killed a man. The next day, she decided what she should do. She would go to a store and buy an old broken hilt to change it into anything. She could go into tournaments, and counter anything with a different sword. She did this, and little did she know, she had struck a big deal. The sword was enchanted, and the hilt was unbreakable. She made lots of money winning. One day, she entered a tournament just like any other. However, this was where she met two important people. A student named Andy, and someone who made her join the school that would change her life. But that man was also someone she would see again, and someone who would ruin her life.

Hel
Hel grew up in a world of discovery. 1865. (During the Steampunk Era.) She died. Her father worked in a factory working with and inventing steam-powered machinery. She was killed in the fire that destroyed her father's factory. They found her body, and thanks to her father's knowledge of tech, he was able to revive her with a new magical mechanical heart (much like the one that Magearna has) and brain. Her right arm and eye had to be completely scrapped and her father made mechanical replacements. As her heart and brain are mechanical, she won't die of old age or mental illness. This is why she's still alive currently.

Jallia
Jalila and her father left Washington for Maine, she grew up watching her dad pretend to be happy, she eventually convinced him to go to therapy and that’s where she learned how to handle her own depression from moving away from her sister and mother. She struggles to keep herself happy, and often feels like an outsider if left alone for too long and will consider if she’s even worth having around. She doesn’t know how to handle when things don’t go her way and resorts to running away whenever there’s a problem, something she learned from her father. She never had a step-mother with her dad, he was still in love with her mother and never even dated again. She looks a lot like her mother and learned to stay out if her father had been drinking to avoid his anger, which really didn’t happen all that often. Other than that, they had a good relationship until she was 13 and came out to him as bisexual. He tore her apart, claiming her sexuality made her selfish and unfair. This is when Jalila first learned there was more to the story behind her parents’ divorce, it also made her question if she could ever find true love. Eventually, she let it go and embraced who she is and doesn’t care what he or anyone else thinks about that part of her.

Dimity
Dimity had to watch her mother go through relationship after relationship after Jalila and their father left. Dimity had to grow up and take care of their mother instead of having a childhood. She resents that Jalila left her with a mess to take care of and never believed Jalila when she said she had to pick between their parents for them both. She hates Jalila and will hide it until it comes to protecting the people she lets into her heart. She acts cold to keep people out of her life because she’s afraid everyone will ultimately leave her. When she was 11 her mother met a man she thought was right, so they moved to Oregon. The guy was more interested in Dimity than her mother though. Dimity lived in the attic and would sneak out of the window to leave the house, she learned how to move quietly and quickly to get away from him. Her mother would say that she was lying whenever she tried to tell her about what was happening. Eventually her mother left the man, but they stayed in Oregon. Her mother eventually married again but Dimity didn’t trust this marriage to last either, so she never got close with him. Her mother also planted an idea in Dimity that Jalila and their father left because they were selfish and didn’t actually love them. She believed these lies and even now doesn’t trust Jalila actually cares about anything or anyone besides herself. She holds a lot of anger towards her father and her mother for not being able to stay together, and blames a lot of it on Jalila, even though she has no reason to.
