in the cold night air, you can see puffs of breath. you approach, your tail lashing cautiously. ahead of you is a blue-grey she-cat. she stares at you with calm green eyes. "greetings, i am poolstar. do you wish to walk with me?" curious, you follow her. she talks about moonclan, her home, and her cats. before long, you both are in her den.
you tell her that you wish to join the clan. she laughs and smiles politely. poolstar dips her head to you. "welcome to my clan," she says. "enjoy your time here." you look around before staring at your tail, ready to leave the den...
"oh, but be warned. many moonclan cats have been going missing as of recently, only to be found dead."

Duskwhisker, on the other hand.. Well, he was taking over after his former apprentice Frostpool had died. His mentor? Retired to being a Warrior. Duskwhisker sorted through herbs idly. It was the one thing he could do with his life, it seemed. That, and try to suppress his emotions around his Clanmates. That is always fun.

At this time, Poolstar is leading a patrol. It consisted of her kin, Nighttail (her sister) and Skyfall (one of her kits), as well as Nightgazer. The four dark cats were to be hunting right now.

Nighttail and Skyfall kept close together. "You don't think Poolstar is scheming something, do you?" Nighttail whispered to the brown tabby. Both looked over at Nightgazer and Poolstar, who were after a rabbit. "It just seems like she has been tense lately, since Jaggedtooth and Frostpool died.."
"I noticed too," Skyfall meowed softly. "Mother hasn't been herself lately."

Yellowsting decided to make his way over to the iconic disaster duo Spottedcloud and Crowgaze. Said twins were currently in a one-sided argument (Crowgaze was used to her antics by now) until he greeted them. "We patrolling with you today? Its been a while." The she-cat commented. "Sorry about that-haven't been able to check with Poolstar."
"Is Crowgaze doing alright? He gets a bit nervous when I ask him to patrol and I don't know why." The golden tom lowered his voice at this point-or at least tried to. He was known to be awfully loud so whispering never came naturally to him. "He's probably just nervous around you since you outrank him. Don't take it personally-he's intimidated by a lot of cats." Well that made sense...I guess.

Crowgaze was getting restless. He knew he should've told someone about this. It was against the code and all hopes of his leader approving were gone. All he could do was pray to Starclan...if they even listened to him anymore.

Softsong groaned. She knew that Poolstar and Yellowsting made the right choice for her but that didn't mean she wanted to accept it. Yeah she limped a bit and her bad leg sometimes gave out but she could still walk! She tried to tell them but of course they wouldn't listen. All she could do was laze around the camp and occasionally do apprentice work.
She got up and decided to bother Duskwhisker again. He must've gotten used to her by now. Since he didn't have an apprentice he could use all of the help he could get, right? "Duskwhisker! Need any-who's this?" Could this be another rogue Poolstar picked up? She never understood why her leader even bothered recruiting them. The pastel calico didn't trust them-why would you? They were thieving traitors that would bring the downfall of the clan if too many sullied the clan like this! She just hoped her dear leader would come to her senses before it was too late.

"That's Crown. Mother took in another Rogue. I figured she'd stop after bringing Nighttail back, but guess not." The blue tabby flicked his tail before tilting his head. "And Softsong and I can help you with herb sorting if you need it. After my injury as an apprentice, I guess I still remember the herbs when Frostpool had to take care of me."
Duskwhisker nodded slightly in response.
