Side note, that was when I was around 9 or 10. I'm currently 30 sooo... I've gone through pretty much the whole line since then. XD!

Ironically enough, mine was Pokémon Gold as well

I still remember how my aunt got it for me, played up until she caught the legendary and got really angry when I reset in order to play from the beginning (Y) (Y) (Y) ✨✨✨

i played pearl and pokemon mystery dungeon: explorers of time (not sky lol) and i chose chimchar as my starter for pearl and i still love fire types

I got Pokemon Channel and Pokemon Colosseum for my birthday one year when I was little. Played them, and fell in love with the Orre region after playing Colosseum. I was probably about 11 or 12 when my mom got me my first main series game, Pokemon Diamond. I chose Piplup as my starter.

My first real Pokemon game was Pokemon Platinum, followed by Diamond, Pearl (tho I didn't finish both Diamond and Pearl since they're essentially the same as Platinum). I didn't blame all my friends for getting me into this game X'D
I choose Turtwig at the time because I like him for some kind of reason, and since then Torterra had been one of my favorite Pokemon~ <3
And most of my starter Pokemon since then had been Grass, tho I did choose Water and Fire sometimes because I either love their design or just wanna try new things XDD

I also kinda play the GBA series (tho I forgot if that's before or after I bought my NDS, but I think I played it before I got them), Ruby and Emerald iirc, but it's on PC and the save files are always corrupted so I never finished them sadly X'D

My first game was pokemon Blue, got it not long after it came out in the us.
First series was the original pokemon (Kanto)
