Sign-Up Thread

The long anticipated pride month is finally here! Our LGBTQ+ crew are trying to prepare for pride. Emphasis on trying. Everyone has a lot of plans in store and everyone should be afraid. Will Kiyo leave the RP as soon as "Adovaco" calls him onio-chan? Will new memes be created once this RP starts? Will I someday stop making terrible typos? Find out on the next episode of Dragonball Z.

(Everyone starts off in their dorms and preparing to meet up. They're probably gonna do some things ~~they're gonna regret~~ before going to pride though. Also don't feel pressured to match my first post, i'm just writing long so yall can respond to me.)

Chiaki regretted all life choices that lead up to this exact moment. They knew that they had a big day planned yet they still decided to pull an all nighter. People would usually assume that they had this ultra important paper due the next day, but no. They was up all night playing that dumb otome game that they could never get a good ending on. Rubbing at their eyes, they went ahead and tried to clean their desk. I said tried because as soon as they saw the empty red bull can next to their coffee...let's just say that they're probably going to the ER.

After spending an entire hour deciding on whether Rantaro should go with an absurd amount of ear piercings or a simple eyebrow piercing, his notifications decided that this ungodly hour was the perfect time to suddenly blow up. Normally he'd ignore it since it was usually the gremlin squad planning world domination but this particular spam was from Chiaki of all people. He quickly typed out a reply before chucking his phone onto the bed (he hoped that vaguely humanoid shape under the blankets was a bunch of pillows and not his boyfriend in denial).

A small, "Mmf!" was heard as the phone was thrown onto the bed. Yep. That was Kiyo all right. He was now awake, thanks to being hit by a phone. He uncomfortably rolled, causing the phone to flop next to him. "Rantaro.. It's seven in the morning.. What are you doing?" He sat up, rubbing his head. Then his own phone went off. It was (unsurprisingly) a spam from the lesbian herself, Leliana Demione.

Nagito, attempting to fix his mess of his hair when he first heard the notification. He pursed his lips, contemplating, and stared at the mess of his hair for a moment longer. It was normally a mess, right?
He quickly red over the history, but didn't reply because god he was awkward.

Leon had passed out on his couch, the buzz of his phone against his fingers probably being the only thing that woke him up... yeah... it was totally the buzz... Unless he and Makoto were roommates, in that case. It was probably still the phone.
With an angry groan, he checked the messages, squinting at the brightness, before replying to the group chat.

He opted to just switch between piercings every sentence. Yes, it would screw with everyone's mind because how the heck does he do it that fast, but it would totally be worth it. He couldn't exactly go with both options so this was the next best thing, right? After giving his boyfriend in denial a quick pat on the spot where he hit him with his phone, Rantaro retrieved said phone and began typing away after hearing it continue to blow up.

Chiaki was now laying on the floor, arms crossed like a mummy, and accepting their descent into the void. They was practically vibrating from the satan's spawn of a concotion. Yes, they should go see a doctor about this but they would never miss the opportunity to watch Rantaro and friends "bully" Korekiyo. They lurked on the main chat, ignoring how uncomfortable the wooden floor was.

Still half asleep and lethargic, Makoto Naegi contemplated getting ready for the big day ahead of him or instead try and get a few more hours of rest. Suddenly, he heard a loud buzz. His phone, perhaps? This went on for some time. It was the constant sound of Makoto's phone buzzing that finally urged him to tackle the day head on. Seven in the morning, seven in the morning... really now? 'Come on guys... surely I can't be the only one who thinks being up and awake at this hour is unreasonable?' he thought. Slightly pouty, a small frown plastered itself upon his face as he reached out a hand to grab his device. Phone in hand, he cast a quick glance at the group chat before getting out of bed. Walls of text from various people came to view. Chiaki, Rantaro, and Korekiyo were all talking among one another. Chiaki saying their final words, Rantaro fretting over which piercings to wear, and Korekiyo..? They was just being their usual self, he supposed.

Deciding not to participate in the ongoing conversation, Makoto set his phone back down on the chocolate brown nightstand and got up on his feet. Leon Kuwata, a long time friend of Makoto was sound asleep on the couch, had he passed out there? 'Huh, that's quite unexpected.' Makoto didn't think about it for too long though, if he was up he might as well wake Leon too. "Leon, wake up." he said timorousness present in his voice, he feared he didn't speak loud enough for his roommate to hear him clearly. Feeling a bit flustered he beckoned Leon awake once more, this time speaking a bit more louder so he could (hopefully) hear him. That was the last time he called for him though, as he didn't want to badger him further.

Kiibo had been up for a little while now, twenty minutes before seven o' clock to be specific. He had been waiting for everyone else to wake up. Today was June first after all, the first day that marked the beginning of pride month! After what felt like hours, Chiaki was the first to make a post inside the group chat. From what he read it looked like they seemed unwell. Why? Kiibo thought about asking them, it was only when the clock struck seven until he noticed more evidence of consciousness among his group of friends. After Chiaki, both Rantaro and Korekiyo seemed to be awake as well, continually making posts in the group chat. Even Leon made a post. Some minutes passed and after thinking about it Kiibo took it upon himself to craft a response as well.

[07:07] Kiibo: Good morning everyone, and happy pride month! It reassures me knowing I am not the only one that is up at this hour. Is everyone feeling alright and rested? You seem a bit ill, Chiaki. Did you get enough sleep?

His robotic finger hovered over the send button, then, he pressed it; Kiibo had sent the post to the group chat. Should he wait for a response to his message, or prepare himself for the day? 'I shouldn't neglect my needs.' he told himself. Not expecting a response right away he gave his electronic device some space and prepared himself both physically, mentally, and emotionally for the long day ahead.

He went into the kitchen part of his dorm, and put some frozen chocolate-chip waffles in the microwave. Those were his favorite thing to have for breakfast! They were easy to make, and tasty!

Nagito smiled, chuckling, as he began to try to fix his hair again, wincing occasionally as strands of hair got stuck in joints of his bionic arm.

Leon groaned again. "I'm up..." he mumbled, chuckling. "Don't worry..." he rested his chin on the arm of the couch, grinning at Makoto. "So, it's that time of year again. Time for more pride." He exhaled, glancing around. "You doing good?"

(Mmm n o ideas for Nagito's nickname. Also shorter replies today, I'm getting smacked by writers block)

”Yup, it is that time of year again..” Makoto responded, flashing Leon a warm smile. June first, already! For Makoto it still felt like the year was only just beginning, but before he knew it it had already gone by so quickly. The beginning of June... the start of pride month!

“Oh. Uh-” He certainly hadn’t expected Leon to ask that, at least at this minute. “Ah,” he started “Sorry, it’s just... I didn’t expect a question like that. Don’t take it the wrong way.” he seemed slightly dumbfounded. Then, he quickly regained his composure “Yeah, I’m doing good. Still a little drowsy and out of it, I just woke up as well, but I’m doing good. Thanks for asking, how about you Leon?”

Once Tenko woke up, she noticed a bunch of notifications on her phone. Annoyed, she began typing an angry message (probably something along the lines of "which degenerate male is responsible for this?!"). She stopped herself after remembering her effort to be kinder to her male friends and began to read the chat history. After reading Chiaki's messages, she began to worry.

Tenko suddenly felt a rush of excitement. It's pride month! she thought to herself. She was excited to see what was going to happen this month. When she got dressed, she decided to finish reading the chat history. She left one last message before she went to the kitchen to eat breakfast.

Kiyo had gotten the text from Leli that she was burning newspapers. He had rolled off of the bed and looked out the window. "Rantaro, she's doing it again," he complained. Honestly, Leli burning newspapers is a common occurrence but he still hates it.

Nagito, reading over the messages, smiled wider. The burning newspapers, though goofy, was... mildly concerning, but he brushed it off. He instead pulled his hand away from his hair, before conjurong up a reply to this mess.

Rantaro called, glancing away from his phone to make sure she didn't accidentally (or purposefully) set anything else aflame. At this point it was normal for his pet giraffe (Leli of course) to be pulling this kind of thing. His hands were starting to get sore from switching piercings every five seconds so he decided to check back in on the chat.

If she laid on the floor any longer she'd probably have the worst cramps in the history of cramps, so she decided to finally get up. She doesn't know why she volunteered to be the mom friend for pride-all she knew was that she was totally going to regret this. She didn't have a plan and she honestly isn't willing to try and think up one at this point. Maybe someone else would have an idea? She knew it probably wouldn't be a good idea but at least it was better than nothing.

Teasing Korekiyo seemed to be something they all wanted to do, but that was about all he knew... Beginning to pace, he kept trying to figure out what to do, and was most definately overcomplicating things. ~~Good job, Nagito.~~
