"Isn't that right, Mr. Parker?" The voice of his teacher brought the high school student back to reality, having zoned out into another daydream, and had even begun to doze off. He had started to do this quite often, much to the rest of his teacher's chagrin.
"Uh, yes sir," He'd nod, sitting up straight and acting as if he had not just been caught almost dozing off. The teacher would keep a sharp gaze with Peter for a few moments that felt more like minutes, though he'd turn back to the lesson he'd been teaching, Peter sighing quietly with relief. "Dude, you need to quit falling asleep in class," His friend, Ned, would whisper to Peter. Whipping around, Peter scoffed. "Dude, I wasn't sleeping, I was-- Thinking, that's all." Ned looked unconvinced at Parker's poor excuse, and he turned back around upon hearing the teacher call his name again.
The bell rung, and the entire class got up almost instantly as they all made their way towards the same destination: the school doors. As he was attempting to not get trampled by the large flow of teenagers, he finally reached the door. Less opening it than being pushed, Peter would quickly run out, thankful to finally be free from school's grasp, at least, for the weekend. Making sure that no-one saw him, he'd run into a nearby alleyway, where, upon zipping open his backpack, he'd pull out a familiar red-and-blue clad suit. No, this wasn't Captain America's suit. It was his own suit that Tony Stark designed specifically for him, for after school each afternoon, he'd swing throughout the streets of Queens as none other than Spider-Man.
As he finished changing into the costume, Peter would activate his web shooters, swinging onto the nearby building. He would continue this for a while now, before taking a small break as he sat on the ledge of a building. The sensors of his suit zoomed in upon the crowds, looking for anything of interest. And then he saw it.
Several missing posters of different people, all grouped together. Despite the fact that someone going missing in New York wasn't as abnormal as some may think, many different missing people, possibly connected, was something to be suspicious about.
"Bingo!" He'd mutter, desperate to find some action, something he'd been longing for all day.
(please note that the other rp posts don't have to be this long, I just made this one a bit longer as it's the starting post, get everyone in the starty-mood.)
Red gave an exhausted sigh and smiled at his Charizard.
"That was good buddy. Scary, but good." He chuckled while rubbing the fire and flying type on the snout as a sign of affection. He then returned the Pokemon to it's capsule and continued on his way to find that mythical....
That was at least a twenty-five years ago and Sheena McKerras no longer held that position but the event persisted nevertheless.
Ryley missed it three years ago because of the...situation. Aurora took off just a few weeks before the preparations started.
And Ryley wanted to go this year. But Universe had a different plan and sent a snowstorm his way, leaving the event canceled for this time around- Ryley had low hopes for it to be postponed. The Government wouldn't bother funding it the second time, now that all the development had to be abandoned in the street. Especially now, that they had to deal with cases of people disappearing for yet-unknown reasons. They did desperately try to keep it under wraps but the then the word got out to one of the higher-positioned locals and there was no stopping it. It was spreading slowly but it did.
And so, Ryley's daily routine returned back to normal. He should have been outside, waving one of those small Mongolian Flags that his family always supplied him with. But instead of that, he is sitting behind a table made out of pure sapphire glass, sipping what seemed to be milk but given the changes to agriculture, who knows. Correction- Ryley doesn't want to know.
He will get working on some of the new models later. At this point, it had been somewhat of a hobby. Digitally re-creating the Creatures of 4546B was certainly one of Ryley's favorite thing to do, even though it took a long time and at the end of the day, amounted to almost nothing. No one except him would ever get to see them. And Ryley was planning to keep it that way.
"Erm... You can just call me Red, Miss... Now what's the matter? Does Professor Oak need my help?" The boy asked the young woman.
"No. He wanted to give you a warning. Recently a lot people have been going missing around the region, and the last thing we need is to lose our Champion." She replied grimly, "Thankfully I found you. Well. I've got to return to the lab... Be careful Red!" . She then waved farewell and started heading back towards Pallet Town.
Red watched her leave, his face somewhat grim due to the news. People were going missing? Was it some rouge former Rockets holding people hostage for money? Or was there another reason?
He would hold up a poster of a young girl. "See her? She, and several other people, have been missing. Disappeared, all of them, last week, on different days. Do you know anything about this?" He'd ask the man, a somewhat pleading tone in his voice.
"Look, I don't know anything. Now can you let me go?"
"Sorry, can't do that. You're still a wanted criminal," he shrugged, swinging away. "Well that didn't work out," Peter murmured. Should he try to use force? No, he thought to himself. There's probably a better way, anyway.
Suddenly, as he was climbing up a wall to get a good view of Queens, the streets now empty due to it being so late at night, he'd notice a man. The figures eyes would dart around, and he would walk briskly into an alleyway. Narrowing his eyes, Parker followed the man, sticking to the wall in order to stay silent. He would round several corners, and then, he was gone.
"What the..?" He'd mutter, looking around for any sign of the man as confusion came across him. Nobody was there.
Chara thought about how they used to play with the Froggit, Moldsmal and even Whimsun. But lately, more and more monsters have started to simply disappear. At first, Chara thought they simply found new friends and spent more time with them, but when Chara wanted to visit them, their parents said they have been missing for quite some time.
Chara's grip around the stick tightened. "The last time we saw them, was when they left to play with you! What have you done to them, human?" These words of their best friends' parents still rang in their mind.
I would never hurt them. They're my friends. I will find them. I will bring them back home.
