Cassie and Joy had walked to the largest fire pit in the center of the town. Joy peered over the stones to try and touch the old firewood that had long been torched but yelped when it crumbled to ash. It blew up a gust of the soot up at the little Audino. Cassie shook her head, leaning down to wipe off the grime. Sometimes she really thought she was taking care of a toddler.
Out of the corner of her eyes she spotted another bird; a Chatot? Idling wondering if it had been the same one that had squawked before. "Hmm..." When she stood back up she was sure she could even hear voices as the wind carried over to them. Deciding to follow where the bird went, it didn't take long to come to another cabin. A bit cleaned up then some of the others, and looked like the porch itself had shoes prints as if someone had made a few trips in and out.
"Hello? Is anyone there? I'm sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if I could ask you a question or two..." She said as she knocked softly on the side of the door, Joy watched the Chatot closely as she found safety behind Cassie's leg.

Caroline walked into the town for the first time and breathed in the crisp air, much different from her hometown. Slateport smelled like, well, slate. She allowed her Taillow, Nightingale, to fly just above her to stretch her wings. Caroline's mind was still blank and troubled but she tried to put it behind her. She had a shot at a new life now, as she wasnt going to waste it. She wondered the town and explored the place she would call home until she could find another steady place to live.
She hoped the people here were nice. Nicer than the ones back in Hoenn, anyway.

Cubone was actively protecting her territory, standing firm outside the cabin her and Fregi and begun to squat in, she'd glare toward Cassie is she supposedly passed by the cabin.
" Yeah, you stay away from what belongs to me " would be the possible thought process of the defensive Pokemon.

"Damn. Guess I'll find a tree and some wraps for my hands." Cory sighs as she rubs her forehead. "Okay. Well. This place gives me a 'if you leave don't come back' vibe, y'know?" she mumbles.
Sol looks up at Wingull flying up before running back to Cory, who puts a hand out and pets her partner.

Caroline decided she really did like the new town, and ventured out a bit farther. She stumbled across a lovely field not too far from town and marveled at the expanse of wildflowers left before her. Nightingale chirped gleefully and dive-bombed into the flowery sea. Caroline smiled at the sight. Watching her companion stuffed into the small crate at the bottom of that boat for so long.... Caroline quickly shook off the thought.
She sat amongst the wildflowers in awe of how silent and peaceful it was. The sun kissed her skin and for the first time in her 17 years of life, Caroline finally felt at peace.

Aka, everyone was responsible for their own litter and garbage. Or they were supposed to be, from what he'd seen in the past few weeks in the town.

Natalia walked towards the door and her skiddo followed her walking cheerfully. It was obvious he was excited because they were finally going to explore the Town. She picked up her bag, threw in a few berries she had nearby and ate one as she went out.
The light came in through the open door and blinded her for a second. Then she saw the town. Definitely rustic, but she understood why her friend told her it was the perfect place to relax. She could see some huge trees and the surrounding forest she got lost in while getting thee. She also saw some berry fields and what seemed to be a Pokémon flying above them.
She considerd going towards the place where the Pokémon was, but was rather interested by the few buildings and other cabins. Her skiddo on the other side was about to run towards the berry fields, but upon realizing she was already walking towards the cabins it turned back and went to her side.
“Hrm.. where should I go.. “ she mumbled when she heard what appeared to be a Pokémon in one of the cabins. ”A chatot? ... I didn’t know you could find them in Kanto”
Of course it could always belong to another trainer, right? She thought before heading towards where the sound came from.

Fregi finally awoke a common occurrence for the trainer to sleep through the entire morning even against Chi's desire to explore and see the region for all its glory, he popped open his bag taking out his handheld cooker and its accompanying pan setting them down on the nearby table a brief *click* and the cooker snapped on, this ofcourse drew the attention of the ever vigilante Cubone she'd spun around to see her friend awake and up and squeaked:
Chi: "Cubone!".
There would be a clear essence of excitement in her call, possibly and the idea of breakfast or potentially to see her friend finally awake. She spun around and rushed to his side crashing into his leg with a small and adorable grunt.
Fregi: "Morning Sunshine, keeping me safe while I snooze huh?"
He spoke with a dazed expression, placing a pan over the cooker and slapping on what would seem to be bacon of sorts, eventually the song of the meat cooking echoed outward from the cabin.
Fregi: " Fancy some training with Ragna today? " He asked at the apex of a yawn.
Chi: "Bone!"
The Cubone shook her head at a clear no.
Fregi: "Want to see this town then?"
The cubone hopped up once: "Cu!" she exhorted excitably.
Fregi simply responded with a bemused shaking of his head, pouring water onto the sizzling bacon.

Caroline hadn't realized she'd fallen asleep until Nightengale was perched on her forehead, pecking at her face.
"Hey!" She shooed the bird away, hand on her heart. She looked up at her companion, now circling overhead. "I guess that means we should actually find a cabin right?"
The two got up and headed back into the heart of the town, looking for an unused cabin for them to claim

Zenith opens the door a little irritated. “Hello. Is there anything I can do for you?” The Chatot squawks “Anything? Anything?” Boxes are laying around the cabin half way unpacked.

Cassie gulped when she heard the irritation in the mans voice and bowed instinctively. "I'm so sorry to bother you!" Standing back up, "I was hoping you could tell me if I'm in the right place- this is Thres, right?" In the not-so-far-off distance she heard the distinct sound of a Taillow and wondered if it also lived in town with a trainer- she wondered if her own Taillow would befriend it.
Looking back at the man and his Chatot she noticed the boxes spread out inside. "Would you like a hand?" She asked tentatively motioning to the boxes, not wanting to over step. Cassie smiled, "I'm Cassidy Danvers, obviously new to the area." She chuckled softly and held out her hand.

Caroline had moved into her new Cabin and sighed. Opening up the front door, she gasped.
"Hey!!" she grabbed for Nightingale as the Taillow zipped out of the home and soared into the sky.
"Where are you going?"
Nightingale chirped, seeming to be calling for another pokemon. Perhaps it sensed another Taillow?

The man opted to leave the cabin settling down outside taking out two pokeballs, with a brief click of their mechanisms two pokemon materialized before the trainer.
Diglett: "Dig!"
Ragna: "Hrraww"
A Diglett and a Houndour stood proudly before their trainer their intent clear, to devour that bacon cooked for them. Fregi offered the two a warm smile leaning forward to ruffle Ragna's head, this of course coaxed a growl out of the pokemon ever defensive of itself.
Ragna: "Hraw"
Fregi: "Patiences Rag ... You all eat at the same time"
As if to deny the Houndour its desire to eat the Diglett had disappeared, yet not without its telltale sign a mole trail traveling outward from the cabin and conveniently toward the very path of Caroline.
Diglett: "Diglett!"
The Pokemon called as it emerged out from the ground, eyeing the girl passively.

Zenith sighs a little bit. “It’s fine. As far as I know, this is Thres. I am also obviously new to this area, and...” Zenith looks back at his cabin. “I suppose I could use some help. Professor Cypress.” Zenith extends his hand to shake Cassie’s. “Re!” The Chatot squawks. “If you would not touch the boxes labeled CAUTION though, they’re fragile research equipment.”

"Nice to meet you Professor Cypress." Cassie shifted to set her pack down on the porch so as not to interfere with his belongings.
"Au?" Joy tugged at her pants again, still unsure. Cassie thought a moment; with Joy being very inquisitive she thought it best to not let her inside the cabin- especially if there were certain boxes she wasn't supposed to touch. Digging around in her pack she pulled out a small bag of poffins and handed them to the pokemon. "Audino!" Joy's eyes lit up at the sight of her favorite treat and she came up on the porch finally. She sat down and munched one happily.
"Maybe you could make a friend?" She said nodding to the Chatot.
Turning her attention back to the Professor. "Research equipment, huh? What are you researching way out here?" She asked ready to tackle some of the boxes- she really didn't like idle hands.

As Natalia walked towards the place the sound came from, a different sound caught her attention. Was that a Taillow? she said to herself. Natalia walked slightly faster now. A Chatot was weird in Kanto, but a Chatot and a Taillow meant there were probably other trainers around.
She arrived to a cabin much like her own. She couldn’t see the inside, but it was obvious someone was there. Mainly because of the, now louder, Chatot squawks; but also because she heard what appeared to be human voices.
She went around the cabin to the front door and Skiddo followed her closely. To her surprise she didn’t find one, but two people. One of them was a girl with an Audino. She couldn’t quite see the other person, but she could hear another voice.
”Oh, hey there”- she said, not really sure if it was loud enough for both of them to hear her.

She turns as Sol barks at something in the distance, maybe people, which she can barely make out. "Is something going on in town today?"

Hearing the barking as well, he looked around, trying to figure out where they were coming from. "In town, today? I don't think there's anything planned. People come and go as they want, but we usually have a town luncheon every few days." To which Kit adds: "Just to be friendly with the neighbours and such, it's a potluck. Bring what you can make."
