The Battle Dome. It's a massive complex influenced by the entire battle frontier of Hoenn - run by an eccentric woman named Amy.
But suspicious things have begun to happen in the Battle Dome, including Pokémon going missing and strange mishaps. And at the same time, an evil team called Team Geode has begun a secret plot to take over - could they be linked to the crimes at the Battle Dome?!
You're here as a tourist or just a visitor to the battle dome - but when you're locked in the dome by the team, it falls on you to figure out just exactly who's behind this.
start at the battle dome in the center of town.
Daphne yawned as she made her almost nightly journey from her small apartment above a café to the glowing Battle Dome right next to the Tower. The short girl was easily recognized as she was on the top 5 list of strongest battlers, despite how she acted.
Coming close to the list - currently at the 12th spot - was a battler named Mae, from Alola. She was here just to check it out and somehow became engrossed in the battling.
Holly shields her eyes from the bright lights, tilting her head back to take a good look at the Battle Dome. "Hoo, boy!" she exclaims with a slight smirk. "There's our destination." She points to the pinnacle of the building. "The top!" The Ninetales at her side snorts, and she ruffles his ears. "None of that attitude, buddy."
The Dome's absolutely gorgeous in the nighttime. Holly's seen photos of it, but she's never actually seen it in person, and it's so much better than she'd expected. Her excitement is infectious, almost, because Ninetales, despite his aloof attitude, is visibly excited. She grins. She'd let the rest of her Pokemon out, but they're pretty big, and she doesn't want them to bother the pedestrians.
"Let's knock em all out." Ninetales gives an approving bark of agreement, and the two of them set off towards the Dome.
Typhlosion gave off a cheerful growl and smiled at his trainer. The two then walked toward the dome.
“Braixen... We’ve fought our way on to this list... We might not be #1, or #10, but with all of the training we’ve done, we can definitely climb to the top.” he encouraged, smiling down at her.
Kendall walked by her lonesome to the Battle Dome, noticing many trainers approaching it. She took a deep breath and began giving herself a pep talk quietly. “I mean... Look at all these Fire-types... my partner has the upper hand...”
"Woah, look at all those people!" Holly gives a mischievous grin, rubbing her palms together. She's not exactly well-known, but she's definitely a talented battler, her Pokemon all well-trained and synchronized with her. Ninetales bites the back of her skirt, pulling her back a little as if to say, Watch where your hands go. Laughing sheepishly, she occupies herself with running her hand through his fur again. "Thanks, buddy."
She spots a boy around her height--which is to say pretty short, since she's only 5'4" herself--and age, a Typhlosion walking next to him, and bounds up to him, lacing her fingers behind her back so Ninetales can keep an eye on them. "Hi!" she greets him, cheerful as ever, and inclines her head towards his Typhlosion. Holly has a Typhlosion herself, which is the main reason she'd approached the boy and his Pokemon. "I'm Holly, by the way. Are you going to the Dome, too?"
The answer to her question should be pretty obvious, but hey, what do they say about assuming? Besides, she's less interested in actually finding the answer and more in making small talk. And, if the boy's a contender, then she might get the chance to scout out his team.

Kei is fairly tall, at 5'10", with
fair skin that burns super easily and super messy black hair that
sticks up in soft spikes. He has dark, dark blue eyes that can
easily pass as black. Typically he dresses in darker colors,
usually blues and greens and blacks, and is almost always seen
wearing a dark blue winter coat, even during the summer.
It's awfully crowded here, Kei notices, which shouldn't come to him as a surprise. Inhaling deeply, Kei casts a glance around the area, more nervous than he probably should be. Being in the top ten, it's hardly a surprise that he's come here in search of a good battle, but most people don't know that about him, since he rarely ever even shows his face in public, let alone in interviews.
His fingers itch towards his PokeBalls, wondering if letting one of his Pokemon out would cause too much of a commotion. He's a Dragon-type specialist, which means his Pokemon are fairly big. Ultimately, he decides against it. There'll be time for him to let them out, and it's not now. Kei's trying to avoid social interaction, not get a whole bunch of stares or trample some poor unsuspecting pedestrian.
He casts a glance towards the Battle Dome. He's been here a few times before, but the first few times it had always been as a spectator rather than a contender. He'd gotten in last time though, and managed to land a fairly high spot, so Kei supposes that he'll be defending that title this year, or maybe even rising in the ranks a few spots.
Regardless, it'll be interesting.

Getting ready, she gathered her pokemon and headed to a ladder in the corner of the room. "Vivre your up." She looked at her lilligant who used Petal Blizard to cover the entrance to her lab in leaves. "Perfect, now we walk." To look as least suspicious as possible, she'd retrieve some of her pokemon and leave one, two or none sometimes. She looked at her pokemon and chose Mordre. Retrieving all her other pokemon and then turned to the small fairy pokemon. With a brisk pace, she entered Lavaridge town and followed the path to the new dome.
"Alright we're here," She muttered to her partner, who stared in awe at the huge dome. "I think Couper would want to see this to--" she began as Couper let himself out of his pokeball. He stood tall and stared at the dome like Mordre. The three of them took a moment to stare before entering and seeing the countless people and pokemom.

Mae sits in the stands with a bag of fries, grinning. "Wow! See that, Kommo-o? She really destroyed them!" she grinned. Mae shoved some fries into her motuh, tapping her feet and waiting for the next battle to begin.
Hiro looked up and nodded. "Yeah, I'm heading to the battle dome. My partner and I have been training for a while now." He replied kindly, and glanced at his Typhlosion, who had always been the type of Pokémon to be friendly towards everyone; including his opponents. The Typhlosion smiled and waved to Holly in a friendly manner as well. "I'm Hiro, by the way." He said kindly.
"Nice to meet you, Hiro! I'm headed for the Dome myself." She grins and gestures to Ninetales, who gives a single nod. "This is one of my partners." Holly peers at Hiro's Typhlosion, impressed, and waves back at it. "I have a Typhlosion too," she reveals, resting her hand on Ninetales's head.
She'd offer her hand to shake, but she's already becoming acutely aware of where Hiro's items might be and how she'd steal them, and Holly's trying to be better. Of course, her struggle doesn't show on her face. "We might end up being on the other side of the battlefield," she adds, grinning, "but I'll be cheering for you until we are."

The air in the Battle Dome's a lot cooler than outside, even if it's already evening, but that's to be expected, considering the air conditioning. Kei blinks once, slightly caught off guard by the sudden gust of air, before striding inside. He spots a girl with a Manetric and a Mightyena, both of her Pokemon seemingly very protective of her, but she's only one of many powerful-looking contenders here.
Kei hides his little smirk in the collar of his winter jacket; he may hate talking to people and social interaction in general, but this? Battling? That he can get behind, and he's even excited about it. He makes his way towards the stadium, hoping to take a look at the other trainers already there.
"Ah, yes. Mr. Steele." she responded after a few seconds of clicking on her computer. "Please make your way to the waiting area in Battlefield 3. You will be called for your first battle shortly." the woman instructed, flicking a stray curl loose from her neat ponytail behind her ear. London nodded at the woman and smiled before following her instructions with his Braixen.
Kendall scanned the area, not entirely user of what she was supposed to be doing here. She quickly noticed that a majority of the trainers around her had at least one of their Pokemon out, presumably their partners. She sighed before taking out a Lure Ball from her belt loop, releasing the Staryu from inside of it. "What are we supposed to do?" she asked the Water-type nervously.
---
Daphne walked off the field where she had just finished her fight. Usually after a battle, she would go to get boba tea - call her basic, but it was delicious to her. She preferred the smoothies with boba that her favorite stand served, and usually got strawberry mango with the big tapioca pearls.
After a bit of wandering around, Kendall spotted a girl just about the same height as her, granted her boots added about three to four inches of height to her, taking time to drink boba. "Heyheyhey, do you know uh-- where the battlers are supposed to go?" she asked, though her eyes kept shooting from focusing on the drink in the other girl's possession back to making eye contact with her.
"Oh, mine used to be my mom's Pokemon before she died, so I take care of her now." Holly grins when she sees Ninetales looking curiously at Hiro's Typhlosion, almost like he wants to go talk to him. She lightly pushes her Pokemon towards Hiro's, amused, as the two of them head towards the Dome. "Thanks, Hiro. Let's go knock 'em all out of the water."
Inside the Dome itself is just as amazing as outside. She can see tons of strong looking trainers walking around and checking in. Ninetales gives a sharp bark of excitement and anticipation, his nine tails swishing around his paws. This is going to be good. She can feel it.

Kei quickly hands his ticket in after a taller guy with a Braixen, wondering if the Pokemon's not fully trained or if it's just chosen to stay unevolved. Regardless, Kei knows better than to underestimate any Pokemon regardless of its level. Salamence, when she'd been a Bagon, had absolutely made sure everyone knew that.
He's not participating in any battles today, actually, so he's just watching. His matches start tomorrow morning, so he'll be up bright and early. Kei wonders if the tall guy in front of him's a spectator or a contender, figures it's none of his business, and keeps walking, going towards the bleachers instead of the backstage.
A pair of eyes was noted by Bark, and he lived up to his namesake as he announced his find, and the trio looked to see another trainer looking at them, who then moved on. Kaida bared her teeth in a feral grin briefly before stalking away, it seemed she wasn't the only one here for battling. Howl noted a commotion going on at Battlefield 3, and trotted over. "Howl? Ah. A battle?" Howl nodded, one paw raised curiously, "Want to see?" A nod, and it was done. Kaida rolled her eyes in exaggerated dismay, but still took a seat, and would quite literally growl at anybody who tried to sit next to her, those seats were for Bark and Howl, thank you very much.
The young man proceeded down a well-lit hallway before being stopped, noticing he'd be inside a surrounding square. "Good luck." the woman who escorted him wished before pressing a button on the wall and the square, now being recognized as a lift, began rising London to the stage.
