So my idea is that after, say 2 months, a trade will automatically be taken down if it's still up. The user will receive a notification telling them that their trade has been taken down, and if the user is active they can easily set it back up. What this does is prevents old trades belonging to inactive users cluttering the GTS. It's also very irritating when a trade has things you want in but the user is inactive and it's just sitting there. It's also very disappointing when you realise the trade you offered on belongs to an inactive user. Please let me know what you think :) This might well be already suggested, please tell me if it is :)

Title: Idea

Also inform them is you have had an offer on the trade if the offer has been there for more than two or three days.

No, they're different, this one is for inactive players/old trades, the other is when the account is frozen/locked.

@Felix: Not sure what you mean, but I'm going to take a guess and say you mean that when an offer on a trade has been there for a few days and has been ignored, then person with the trade gets a notification? I like that too, but I think that's more of a separate suggestion?
@Queen: Yeah, I've seen that one, at first I thought that was my suggestion too, it's ok xD

It's ok xD Like I said, I think that's probably a different matter to this, but I'm completely with you on that.

Title: I think

I think it should not be taken down in a month , a week or 2 weeks are fine.

No, I think anything under a month, the user would probably be still active and it would just become annoying. This is aimed at inactive players :) I have a trade that over a month old because im forgetful and it would be irritating if it got taken down, even though I'm still active.

If someone hasn't logged in for a month, they're not likely to even remember they had a GTS trade waiting on offers. Plus pricing/values of items could have changed. So not only is it a good thing for the active players to have all these old trades removed, it can possibly benefit the absent person if or when they decide to come back.

support, 2 months sounds good. thats enough time to make an offer or notice the trade. i also don't think users with 2 month or older trades will get any further offers since they are way to outdated and people think they weren't active anymore.

Coming back to this, I think that even a general purge once a month to clear out older trades would still work and cut back on what's not actually being traded.

EeveePower said they have a trade that's been there for a month. Honestly, I've gotten to the point that if a trade is over a week old, it's not worth touching as who knows if the person is actually considering offers or just leaving it up there.
