Daycare question

I'm shiny hunting tyranitar and I had 2 in the daycare but they were not matching perfectly.
Now that I changed one of them so they match, I haven't got 1 egg for almost a whole day :/
Did I made a mistake ?

The DayCare is still luck based, so even a perfect pair might not always fill out your DayCare.

Also, I removed both of them and placed them back in but the female would not want to stay in the daycare and I got stuck with the message: Your pokemon leave the daycre with a smile. (or something like that)
Now it's fixed but I was wondering what caused that so I could avoid it in the futur :D
