For this you will need the following:
- Two (2) of the same Pokemon in the same evolutionary stage
→ For example: two Vaporeon, not one Vaporeon & one Jolteon or two Steenee, not one Steenee, one Tsareena.
- Both Pokemon have Everstones as their Held Item
- Both Pokemon have different Original Trainers
→ For example: One Vaporeon whose Original Trainer is Riako and the other is yours.
It is also good to prepare for the hunt with Gems [like collecting Grass Gems to get you 100 Bounsweet Eggs from the Gem Collector]

They'll still breed, but the chances are lower than having two different original trainers.

You can also have a chance to increase your breeding/shiny/mega chance at the fountain if you're lucky.
