Stryke smiled towards Fang as he turned around when he didn't make
him feel bad at all. ''I am glad, thank you. To be honest, I had
little faith in dragons wanting to be on our side. To not fight and
be equal...I have only known of the fighting...do you know what
started it...?" He asked, looking at Fang with curiosity. ''One
story I heard was that dragons stole our children and killed them
for sport...I highly doubt it now, but when Rose was little, I
couldn't let her out of my sight. I was afraid of you dragons
snatching her!"
Chaska was caught off guard that Rose would want to deal with the
farmer. He sighed with a small nod. ''He is a farmer after all,
ma'am. I have skills in the blacksmith shop and building.'' He
offered. ''I am sorry.''
Fang shook his head. *A human and a dragon had a bond, others got
jealous and started killing dragons they didnt bond with, causing
the war to begin.*
Rose raised her eyebrow at Chaska. "Weather he is a farmer or not,
he helped me with the dragons and we need to continue our
discussion" she replied rather calmly.
Kovu smiled at Rose, bowing his head. ''I will do anything that you
ask, to the best of my ability.''
Chaska sighed when Kovu won at this moment. He looked at him for a
brief second before nodding to Rose. ''Alright, I shall help
elsewhere, where I can. You two have fun.'' He bowed his head,
before he backed off.
Stryke shook his head, '' That is terrible...you poor dragons.'' He
sighed with a small nod. ''That is over now, I wouldn't dare allow
anyone to threaten a dragon in front of me and I know Rose wouldn't
even allow a whisper. Thank you Fang, I shall mark up this land!"
Stryke agreed. ''I hope she sees family is far more important than
anything else.''
Kovu looked over at Rose with an agreeing nod. ''Yes, he seemed a
little off. He may not be used to me talking to you. Probably
thought something was wrong.''
Kovu looked a little concerned now that he knew that fact. ''Oh
weird, I figured he would try to talk to you all the time! He
surely doesn't talk to me...or my family. We were below him in his
little chain of command.'' He sighed. ''Maybe now he feels like you
two can be friends, unlike before.''
Stryke sighed in agreement. ''Quite. I am glad the bloodshed is
over!"
Rose shrugged. "That could be true. Or perhaps my mother had been
keeping him away from me" she replied.
Fang nodded in agreement before he jumped off the cliff quickly and
dove into the water. The black dragon came back soaking wet, but
dropped off a mouthful of fish. *More food for everyone here* he
thought with a smile.
Kovu sighed with a small nod towards Rose. ''I would be careful of
him then. There has to be a big reason if your mother didn't want
him around you...as she was okay with you marrying Hunter or his
father even!" He shivered at the thought. ''Ugh, I still can't
imagine you being Hunter's stepmother. Nope, will never get over
that. However, if she was okay with them...then there has to be
something really wrong with him.'' He then let a smile all on her.
''If you ever want to get away from him, just come on over to my
farm or have Sapphire glare at him. That should be enough!" He
laughed.
Stryke smiled excitedly. ''We shall have a feast for this grand
celebration! Why didn't I think of that sooner!?'' He laughed.
''Come now, could you bring all that fish to the center of the
village. Some people like to roast them over the fire, and I know
you dragons don't mind them either way! Probably. Come now, it
shall be fun!" He smiled.
Rose laughed. "Thank you Kovu, and you are right. If she was
keeping him away, there had to have been something going on, or he
just didnt care to be near me until now."
Fang nodded and scooped the fish back up. *A feast is a wonderful
idea* he thought with a smile before he headed to the center of the
village.
Stryke went right after Fang happily, smiling eagerly. ''I want to
warn everyone that this shall happen!" He went off to tell small
groups of people or individuals.
Kovu smiled over at Rose with a laugh. ''Maybe because you are the
leader now, you know how some leaders treat others better than
another. Probably wants some benefits like a powerful position.''
He sighed.
Kovu agreed, looking about the village with some worry. ''I guess I
am really afraid about your mother...what she will say...what she
could do...I don't want another war, but knowing her...she may try
to pull one. What she was willing to do with your life, shows she
is willing to do anything.'' He put a hand on her shoulder.
''Should we have scouts on other villages?"
Stryke couldn't help but smile and nod in agreement. ''Yes, of
course! We always enjoy to throw all types of feasts for all the
reasons. We threw one for three days over the birth of Rose. This
is just as special. Now don't worry, I will give you credit for
such a wonderful idea.'' He smiled, before moving to a spot in the
village that was basically the center. ''I will tell Rose the idea
as well, as she has to approve.'' He laughed.
