Except for one thing.
You could just feel the magic in it. Throbbing, pulsing, waiting to escape. And one day, it did. Humans and animals alike started developing magical powers and mutating into completely different species.
But jealousy grew into dark magic in the surrounding cities, and sought to combat the outbreak of magic in Destiny. They slowly gained magic and mutations of their own, spreading darkness with every step they took. Now Destiny is surrounded by a twisted forest full of darkness and monsters.
If they want to protect themselves, they will have to combat the darkness.
If you want to protect yourselves, you will have to combat the darkness.
Now is the time to stand up for your town and your world.

Personality: Level-headed. Maybe not the most mature, and her temper isn't great, but she tries hard to do the right thing.
Powers: Can summon a translucent golden shield with spikes. The shield dissipates when touched by magic, but is immune to physical attacks. She also has a similar sword. As a last resort, and last resort only, she can sprout phoenix wings and wield fire, but this is a massive drain on her energy.

Species: He's half dragon.. yee..
Appearance: He wears black jacket, black trousers, black trainers (He wears all black basically). He has black hair, black curved back horns, a black dragon tail, black dragon wings (one is broken, and it's kinda an obvious break-) and a long scar across his right forearm. He also sometimes wears a shadowy cloak/cape thing.
Personality: He's the most sarcastic person you could ever meet. He's mostly serious and has a strong hatred for anything.
Powers: Shadow manipulation you idiot.
Other: HE'S A FORMER KING OR SOME CRAP AND REFERS TO HIMSELF AS A KING SOMETIMES. His main weapon is a shadow greatsword that he wields as if it weighs nothing at all.

Chernobyl casually leaned on a random tree. It was twisted and blackened by dark magic, but she figured she wouldn't turn evil if she already had magic.

Species: Human, turned Wendigo *essentially, He's possessed by a spirit and was doomed to become one himself)
Appearance: wip- I'll draw the spooky boye, for now you'll just have to wait aha
*small description* Rick is around 5'11, most of his height gained from the transition. He has a tattered jacket and jeans, simply because he never fully transformed and still has some human mentality left... His arms are longer, his fingers and nails longer and sharper as well. His teeth are also quite a bit sharper. Matted red hair (again, long and matted because he never got to fully transform, the magic wrecked it. He's lucky to still have it-) His eyes are very pale blue, similarly to a blind persons.
Personality: Very skittish and scared easily, obviously. Even the smallest noise will make him jump, and his normal impulse is to hiss to ward them off. He's okay with company as long as you don't spook him. He's fairly protective, and acts without thinking, often resulting in him getting himself hurt. (Rest is tbrped aha)
Powers: not really any. He is fairly "strong" when hungry, though

Chernobyl noticed Alexander. I wonder if he's out here to fight these monsters too. She wasn't too far from the town, so she didn't expect many monsters where she was, but she wasn't a good fighter.
