does selling a pokemon i'm trying to get a shiny of in the auction house or global trade brake my shiny chain or effect my pokedex in anyway or no? i'm having a hard understand how that all works. :/

Selling a Pokémon in the auction house or GTS will not break your chain. Unless you sell/trade all of them, it shouldn't effect your dex either, so don't worry about it.

If you sell/trade away all of the Pokémon you're chaining, then it will effect your dex. So keep a couple normal ones when you finish the hunt :3

However, this is not a guide, so it doesn't belong in this section ^^' It belongs in the "Help" section, just to clarify :b
