So I've read the guides on cooking and recipes, etc but I'm still confused about what to do with the food you make. I know:

-making food gives experience
-need for berry bulletin
-maybe quests?
-something referenced "energy"?

But why would I buy or sell food in my shop? Can my Pokes eat the food? Do they like certain kinds?

The things you make are mainly for experience and bulletin board requests. I don't see people selling and buying them often, but as you get requests that need bigger amounts of things, you might want to.

You don't need to make them beforehand, though.
While it's sometimes a close call, you always get enough time to bake the food as you need it for quests =3

When you get multiple interesting quests, you'll need to make a decision on which to go for if you don't have any extras in your bag, though.
