Clicklist Mobile Optimization
Forum-Index → News → Clicklist Mobile OptimizationTL;DR: The clicklist have been optimized for mobile devices! It is now muuuuuuch faster to interact on mobile. Try it out now: Clicklists.
Removal of the N-key
You now no longer have to press the "N"-key in order to open the next Pokémon Profile. The next profile automatically opens after making an interaction.
... I mean - honestly - why did no one ever mention that this functionality is completely pointless?!
Some of you might wonder why it was implemented in the first place. Well, originally it was planned that you had to do a mouse-click, press the N-key and then start over. But as most of you found out, it's much easier to just hold the N-key and spam-click the mouse button. When I implemented the clicklist, I did honestly not see that coming :P It was actually an unintended bug. Which was never fixed, because... well, people enjoyed it the way it was.
Having that functionality made it very difficult for mobile users to interact. Simply because you can't hold a keyboard key on your phone/tablet. You had to do two finger clicks (on two different positions of the screen!) in order to make one interaction. That is obviously very discriminating. Soooo it's been removed!
Bigger interaction buttons
Instead of having tiny "Train with ..."-buttons which resulted in so many inconvenient problems on mobile devices, you now have large images (and even larger click boxes that surround the image! You don't even have to precisely click on the images).
The desktop version is not affected by this change.
I've also added code which disables the automatic "zoom on double-tap" feature of most phones for the clicklist page. Your phone does no longer zoom in when you double-tap on a interaction button.
Pre-loading
Your browser downloads the profiles of 20-30 Pokémon in advance, so interacting is much faster. When you have finished interacting with this batch of Pokémon, a new batch is downloaded.
This was already implemented for a long time now.
But what you might have noticed in the past is that, after interacting with these 20-30 Pokémon, the screen would turn white for ~1 second. During this second, the next batch was loaded. That can obviously be very annoying, both on mobile and on a desktop browser.
That's why this "Preloading" feature has also been improved. Your browser now no longer waits until you've completely finished the batch before downloading a new one. Instead it prefetches the next one when you still have ~5 Pokémon left.
Last but not least: The feature has been tested - but as always it's possible that the update contains one or two bugs. Please don't panic! Instead, report it in our Bugs forum!
When all bugs have been fixed (or none have been detected), then I think it's time for another SCE - or what do you say? ;)
this'll make it much easier!
Edit: Just tested it out, personally. Interactions are just SO. MUCH. QUICKER. getting more DP saved up for next year will be no problem XD
Awesome coding, Riako.. definitely worth the wait.
I didn't even know what's happening, that my "Clicklist" was already done with. Lol. GG. :D (Y)
EDIT :
I really love the way the Pokémon/Egg/Berry sprites are enlarged.. so cute~! c:
Now I can interact on my phone without having to test my patience ;v;

Now I have a very important question:
With this being single click now, can I interact on both my PC and phone (since I no longer have to look at the screen)? Or is using two devices against the rules?
