Melody happily skipped down the train, towards where the other older students were sitting, or she was at least till she fell and faced planted.

Lianna was looking for an empty space to sit. She knocked on the door to Jason and the other first years' compartment.

"Oh sweet Dumbledore. Melody fell already." Cedar said walking over to help her get up. "Can't even go five minutes with out falling can you." he said laughing. Most of his friends were here, just missing Olivia.

"Scoot down Dingus." Carmen said pushing Jason down on the bench. 5 people per row was big, and it was just her and Jason on that row. "Sit here. What's your name?" Carmen said smiling kindly to her.

Layal burst into laughter and stood. "How close are we?" She wondered, attempting to peek out the window.

"Of course not. Where would be the fun in that?" Melody happily got up with a large smile. She then followed him and flopped down on one of the benches.

"I'm Lianna Somun." Lianna answered quietly as she sat down. "And you?"

The third-year nodded and flopped down onto the seat, narrowly avoiding smacking her head off the wall. She was already prepared to start studying, and had tucked a few books into the front pockets of her luggage, just in case she got bored.

"Put those books down. Have a little fun." Cedar said taking the books out of Layal's hands.

"How was everyone's summer?" Melody mused as she pulled a lollipop out of her bag.

"Pleasure to meet you." Lianna quietly replied before pulling out a potions book and her reading glasses. She pried it open and immediately started reading.

"Hey! Gimme my books!" Layal yelped, launching herself across at Cedar in an attempt to retrieve her books. "You're almost outta Hogwarts, I still have to study!" She whined. "And my summer was fun, I read a lot of new books."

Melody chuckled slightly at her friends. "That sounds awesome Layal, also I told you, you could have come with my family to America if you wanted Cedar." She mused with a grin.

"I know but i had to stay with my grandparents, they are getting old." Cedar said to melody. "Yes, but school hasn't started yet and it doesn't officially start till tonight." He said laughing.

Layal pouted and returned to her seat, giving up on her books for now. "What's America like? Is the air different? Do they use different words? Wait, what about accents?" She asked excitedly, looking at Melody curiously.

Melody laughed slightly at that. "It is different. A lot more fast food than there is here. The accents are interesting. Every place has a different one. It was nice to see the rest of my family though and my little sister actually came back with Mother and I instead of going to Ilvermorny in the states like my brothers."

"I think it's fascinating." Layal beamed excitedly. "Can you imagine what living there is like? I think that would be super cool, they have different systems for measurement and stuff, right?" She remembered basic stuff from when her mother had sent her to muffle school. "Fascinating."

"That's correct. I got so turned around it wasn't funny." Melody mused. "Not sure if it really changed since I was little though. Don't quite remember it from then."

"Americans are just weird in general." Layal decided with a shrug. She turned to peer out the windows again, watching the land go by.
