No one else seems to ask this one. I was wondering if it is just you interacting and others interacting with your pokemon that causes them to gain steps? Does anything else give you steps? And if it is just people interacting with your pokemon, then how many steps does each person give? I know I have way less individuals interacting with my eggs than the required number of steps before it hatches. Was mostly just curious. Thanks guys.

We don't have steps here. We have Heat Points (by concept). Every interaction (hug) warms the egg a slight bit. When it gets hot enough, it hatches. No other way to get EHP. But you can get Flame Orb from the Item Shop to raise the EHP per hug.

EHP per hug is RNG, there is no fixed number. It depends whether the owner is premium or not or if they have a flame orb. These are just things that give a boost to the received EHP, the base number is still random. I reckon each hug gives AT LEAST 40 EHP to and egg with no boosters, so naturally. No. of interactions < heat required to hatch

Not a very clear explanation, but I hope it helps a bit :)
