Rose looked over hearing someone (Jamie) say "ow" and she walked
over. "Are you alright" Rose asked as she walked closer. She didn't
really wait for a response before she asked "Are you here to see
Professor Rowan as well?"
Jamie glanced over at the person talking to her. "Yes." She snipped
out while picking up her book and dusting it off. "I take it you
are as well?" She mused her eyes showing a small bit of disinterest
in the conversation.
Rose was rather shocked at the way Jamie had spoken to her and took
a step back. "Yes, I am" she said before looking down. *Did I do
something wrong* she asked, wondering if maybe she upset the other
girl by checking on her.
Jamie sighed knowing she snapped. "Sorry." She mumbles out.
"I...don't talk a lot so I'm not a good conversationalist. If I
snap at you just hit me." She gently plucked at the spine of her
book. The covering looked to be made out of a string of some kind
while the writing was in inked calligraphy. There was no title on
either side so only she really knew what she was reading about.
As Eclipse jogged to Sandgem, he realized that he hadn't eaten
breakfast. Meh... Pointless now. he thought conclusively, as
the Pokemon Center of Sandgem came in sight.
After a long (and somewhat cold) walk, Maggy-Sean had reached
Sandgem town. Eyeing all the others, and seeing what looked like a
possible commotion, she sighed and sat as far away as she could,
waiting.
Eclipse, arriving at Sandgem, asked, "I suppose we're all here to
see the Professor?" He stretched, while Chance flew around, looking
for something interesting to do.
Catrina makes it to Sandgem and makes her way to the Pokecenter
where she saw a bunch of other people sitting there. “Hello there!”
She says to everyone with a smile plastered on her face.
Rose shook her head. "I don't hit people, no matter how rude they
are" she said as she looked back at Jamie. "Anyway, My name is
Rose. Whats yours?" She glanced around, seeing others appearing and
thought to herself *I wonder if they are all here for Rowan as
well. There are so many.*
Rose tilted her head. "Not to sound pushy, but some day you will
have to talk to others. If you want to, you can always talk to me."
She glanced back at the others. "I guess Professor Rowan should be
showing up soon to give us our Pokémon" she said quietly, not
really meaning to speak out loud. She was excited to get her first
Pokémon.
"Actually, I'm just here for the Dex." Eclipse said bluntly,
pointing to Chance, who was currently on top of the lab. "I'd
actually do my journey in Alola, bur I get seasick."
Jamie thought about what Rose said. What's sad is she is
right. She thought with a sigh before glancing at Eclipse.
Then again I never enjoyed talking to my family so why would a
stranger be any different? I mean eventually, all humans leave
those they interact with after they achieve something so why talk
to someone anyway? She shifts a bit before mumbling a low thank
you at Rose.
Rose gave Jamie a small smile before she went and sat on the bench
she was at before. She took a deep breath and hummed to herself a
lullaby her mother used to sing to her as a child. It helped calm
her down in excitement, nervousness or really anything. She closed
her eyes as she felt a small breeze hit her face. The blonde girl
opened her deep blue eyes once again and glanced around once more
before her eyes stopped for a moment on Eclipse.
A yelp was heard as the door opened and Professor Rowan frantically
stepped out. "Hi, trainers! Welcome to your journey! I suppose I
should tell you something, but I suppose I shouldn't! There's an
issue though, so quick! Take a starter from the bag behind me and
get a Pokedex and go!" He said, obviously bothered by
something.
Maggy-Sean shrugged as she bent down and reached into the bag,
pulling out a Pokeball with a water droplet on it. She shrugged and
clutched it in one hand, grabbing a pale purple Pokedex and
Pokegear, the latter of which she strapped onto her wrist, and
walked off to the side.
Rose looked over, confused as to what was going on, but got in line
to grab a Pokeball. She smiled to see a fire insignia on one of
them and grabbed it. She reached gently for a light blue Pokedex
and the Pokegear before she stepped out of the way. Her blue eyes
scanned to watch the other, wondering what Pokémon she had just
picked. "Is everything alright sir" she asked, though hoped it
wasn't something he expected them to fix. She brushed her blonde
hair off her shoulder, at least what fell forward from her ponytail
she had in.
"Er.... yeah! Totally!" Rowan chattered nervously before a loud
beeping fro inside was heard, his eyebrows raising in alarm. Rowan
dropped the Pokedexes and Pokegears on an outside table befire
yelling "Stay safe!" and sprinting inside.
Maggy-Sean turned to look and almost said something, before
deciding against it.
Jamie blinked a bit at the professor before shrugging. Oh
well. She thinks to herself while walking over to the table and
grabbing a black and purple Pokedex and Pokegear. She then reached
into the bag and pulled out a Pokeball with a mask on it.
"Interesting." She mumbles.
Catrina shrugs and grabs a pokeball with ears sticking out the top
and then went to the table to grab a turquoise pokedex and
Pokegear. She put the gear on. "Huh I wonder what I got?" she said
to herself as she studied the pokeball.
