So, I got the wounded sigilyph, and when I go to the quest, it just says that it will take time to heal. Did I fail the quest, or is this part? If it is part, then how do i heal it?

This is a part of the quest and you heal it, by raising its level :)
Once it's high enough, you'll get an egg in exchange for the healed pokémon.

From what I understand it has to be lvl 100 then u take it back to da cave
